She was sitting on the edge of the couch. Her laptop perched on the edge of the coffee table before her. Her elbows planted against the tops of her knees as she sits there, hands clenched into fists under her chin as she watched the screen with narrowed eyes. Her ire rising with each word that spills from the speakers of the laptop.
A snarl forming with every passing moment. And then suddenly, she stands. While looking down at the laptop, she suddenly slams her booted heel into the monitor.
Shonn: “Aye, dammit, Aerynn. Now we have tae get a new one.”
Aerynn glanced over to where Shonn and shrugged.
Aerynn: “We got 'nother o'er there.”
She nodded towards where the “bedroom” was. Only to turn and head into a different part of the warehouse. As she passed by a crate, she reached down and picked something up. As she continued on her trek towards the blocked off part of the warehouse, she raised the object up and let it rest against her shoulder.
That object? A baseball bat wrapped in razor wire. As she walked, she began to whistle softly. A song in the background was playing as she entered into the secluded area. And the door closed behind her.

Shonn did what Shonn does best. Set up a series of fights for Aerynn. Shonn and Pauly both knew that if Aerynn didn't keep her anger focused on someone outside of UWA, she was liable to truly hurt someone.
She'd come close a few times. And everyone knew it.
As they entered the undisclosed location, there had already been a few fights. And that was ok with Aerynn.
With the bikes parked, they all dismounted their bikes. Before they headed over to the fight circle, she reached over and grabbed something that was nestled against the side of her bike. She then swung around and smiled at the two men with her as she rested the now visible bat against her shoulder.
Aerynn: “Aye, lads.. Let's do some gratuitous violence.”
And then she headed down the hallway towards the fight circle.
Now it had become a “thing” that someone famous would be at the fight. This week, it was Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit. And as Aerynn, Pauly and Shonn walked down the hallway towards the circle, a few strings from a bass began to play.
“Just think about it.”
Aerynn heard the first line of the song and a smile formed.
“Th..think..th..think.
Think about it.
Th..th..think..th..think.
Think about it.
Think..Think..th..th..think.
Think about it.”
They were about halfway down the hallway...
“Lately, I've been skeptical.
Solid when I used to speak.
Distant from all around me.
Who witness me fail and become weak.
Life is overwhelming.
Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
I'd love to be the one to disappoint you when I don't fall down.”
They exited the hallway and up on the stage was Fred Durst. He was singing the song that Aerynn had told Shonn she wanted when he informed her that he had gotten Limp Bizkit to perform at their next underground fight and he asked her which song she wanted to be sung as she was walking into the fight circle. Aerynn had given Shonn a look of, “Do ye really need tae ask?”
Simple enough answer, aye?
She knew that Brody would know she chose that song. Specifically for him. She knew that he'd get the message. Loud.. And.. Clear.
As they entered into the main room of the “arena”, the fight's spectators turned to see who had shown up. And then parted like the Red Sea when they seen Aerynn, Shonn and Pauly.
Shonn was standing to her left. Pauly to her right.
“But you don't understand when I'm attempting to explain.
Because you know it all and I guess things will never change.
But you might need my hand when.. Falling in your hole.
Your disposition I'll remember.. When I'm letting go of...”
The trio had stopped in their trek towards the fight circle to look at the gathered crowd for a few moments.
And then they headed towards the fighting circle...
“You... And... Me... We're through...”

“Brody.. Brody.. Brody..”
The screen was black. Blacker than usual. But Aerynn's voice came from the darkness.
“So, it's back tae pretendin' tae be a good guy?”
In the blackness, a single light flickered to light. In the middle of the pool of light stood a woman with blood red hair. Her head was bowed down as her arms were spread out to either side of her body.
“Spare me tha Uncle Tom routine, Brody. Ye canna keep denyin' whot ye are! Ye think tha' Bethany Ashley an' Jeszika will e'er accept a broken man like ye?”
She laughed. Cackled, really.
“They canna!!”
She leaned closer to the camera. And her voice dropped to a whisper.
“They're afraid o' ye. An' they should be.”
She straightened up and smiled.
“Yer an animal.. A fuckin' maniac! Look at 'em!”
She pointed off into the distance. As if pointing towards the aforementioned people.
“They're useless; Pieces o' trash. Whot difference does it make how their world ends?
Drugs.
Alcohol.
Suicide.
Morality doesna e'en enter inta it.”
She brought her hand to her chest and the pointed at the screen.
“We're jus' a function o' natural selection, Brody.
Tha new breed.”
She pulled back and twisted her head enough to make her neck pop. Only to practically purr after.
“Yer an idiot, ye kno tha'? After e'erythin' tha' I did, I went inta Raisin' Hell offerin' ye an easy way out.. Tae make good on e'erythin' ye've e'er done.. Tae me. Tae Jeszika. Bethany an' Ashley.. An' ye spit it right back in m'fuckin' face.”
She stepped back and made a motion with her arm towards a separate “path”.
“Ye wanna take tha hard road? Be m' guest, pal. But, I promise ye..
By tha time Cataclysm is o'er..
Yer gonna wish they ne'er cut ye from yer mother's fuckin' womb.”
And the screen goes black.
