It was nearly time for Raising Hell. Just a couple of day away until the event in Las Vegas. With all the posters around for the event, anyone could feel the excitement in the air. However, there was one man who remained calm, and focussed entirely on the task at hand. That man, is simply known as the Protector.
Right now, he had just arrived behind the Pleasure Dome, putting on his black Ski mask, to keep his face concealed. Just in time as well, as he Saw the Silver Baron step out with a bag of garbage.
Protector: Heh. Taking out the trash I see.
That one comment got the Silver Baron into a defensive stance. The Protector moved out from the shadows, and chuckled. His voice was still deep, as he had put on his voice changer before.
Silver Baron: Protector?
Protector: Yes sir.
Silver Baron: Okay. Just don't scare me like that again. I don't take to well to sneak attacks.
Protector: Fair enough.
Silver Baron: But...why are you here now? Why not call me again, or even talked to me face to face before?
Protector: I was just simply in the neighborhood. There are a few things on my mind that I forgot to ask about before though.
Silver Baron: Oh. Well then ask away.
Protector: Fair enough. The first thing that comes to mind is, can I trust you to not lose control?
The Silver Baron raised an eyebrow in confusion. He then disposed of the garbage, before leaning up against a wall, and taking a cigarette out. He offered one to the Protector, but the offer was refused.
Silver Baron: Are you talking about my MPD acting up or something?
Protector: I am. It is an issue that I can't overlook much.
Silver Baron: Don't blame you. But you should try living with it. Rather aggravating having a lunatic personality that's residing in my mind.
Protector: As I said. I can't overlook this. What if Oblivion does decide to come into play? You're good at keeping that part of you under control, but I'm still concerned.
Silver Baron: Understandable. But you need not worry about Oblivion this time. He hasn't bugged me in a couple days, once I started to focus on our tag team title match only.
Protector: Ah. Well I'm glad you're doing what needs to be done to keep that under control.
Silver Baron: Yeah yeah. You wanting to protect UWA from corruption. And Oblivion could be part of that. Again, don't worry to much, but it's good to see that my tag team partner is looking out for me, even from myself.
The Silver Baron quickly chuckled at that, before he got himself off the wall, and approached the Protector.
Silver Baron: A good question now is, can I trust you?
Protector: What do you mean by that?
Silver Baron: It's simple. You're still rather new here, and you have your own agenda. With the very few matches you've had here, I have to wonder if you'll be able to keep up.
Through the eye holes in the mask, the Protector glared at the Silver Baron. It was an attack to his pride, and the Silver Baron smirked, seeing that he did get an emotional, albeit silent response from the Protector.
Protector: You really think that? Let me tell you something.I have been in this business since I was 15 Baron. I know this industry inside out, it is my life blood, my passion, my reason for breathing. If you think that I'm going to be a skrinking violate, if you think i am going crumble in the face of a challenge, especially from two southern boys who's farther is clearly there grandfarther, you are sadly mistaken! See I haven't worked so hard my whole life to fall at the first hurdle here in UWA, you hold up your end and do your job and I will do mine. We will send the Worleys back to the south wishing they never showed up in Vegas!
The Silver Baron began to chuckle at the Protector's response. This got the Protector confused for a second. But the Silver Baron looked at him, and smirked, as he took a puff from his cigarette.
Silver Baron: That's what I wanted to hear. I wanted a passionate response from you, as I know that is the most honest one. You bring that same passion to the ring, then I know we'll have a good time.
Protector: Indeed. You bet I'll be bringing it. And if anyone interferes, they will regret it.
Silver Baron: Yeah. Mind you if somebody were to interfere, then that's when we run the risk of Oblivion popping up. So if you notice that I'm becoming extremely sadistic and extra violent, that's when you need to be on full guard.
Protector: Alright. Thanks for telling me what to expect then.
Silver Baron: Not a problem. Oh by the way, have you seen Sharpe around?
Protector: Sharpe? Who's he?
Silver Baron: One of my security guards. About the same height as you, shoulder length brown hair.
Protector: Hmm. Well I don't think I saw one of your security guards in that description, so I can't help ya much.
Silver Baron: Okay then. Anyways, I better get going.
The Silver Baron butted out his cigarette, before offering his hand towards the Protector. The Protector shook it, seeing the Silver Baron smile.
Protector: See you later Baron.
The Silver Baron smirked, as proceeded to head back inside. The Protector sighed. He cracked his knuckles, before he grabbed a duffle bag he had on the ground, and proceeded to leave the property of the Pleasure Dome.
Later on, in an undisclosed Alleyway, the Protector was leaning up against a wall. H had a camcorder set up, so he could voice what's on his mind about some of the recent events, and his upcoming match.
Protector: I know many people, if not thousands, have been saying that what's coming up for the Sin City Knights, is controversial to say the least. Mainly because of me. But it's circumstantial at best, because I am Fraser Freeman's handpicked replacement for the match. I could care less about all the whining and moaning that everybody, including the Corn Bread Mafia, has done. Because much like every punishment that is given to every crime, you're just going to have to deal with it!
Of course, there are other reasons, as to why I am here. Is it to be sort of a bodyguard to the Silver Baron? I can see why people would think that, especially after he stood his ground and showed he was not intimidated by Joshua McBride. But the thing is, he doesn't need a bodyguard. Instead, he's getting a powerful ally that will watch his back.
But this match at Raising Hell isn't about Joshua McBride or his children. If they wish to fight another day, they better keep away from all of the Knights. We will end them in they decide to stick their noses in our business, especially at Raising Hell. Right now, the Sin City Knights will be fighting against a couple of stereotypical, good ol' boys, that call themselves the Corn Bread Mafia.
Even through the distortion device the protector uses you can still hear a tone of distain towards the worley brothers. You can see his eyes perk up through his mask as begins thinking about the pair. He scratches his chin deep in thought, before steadying himself to speak.
Hmph. Cameron and Shawn Worley. You say you're American by birth and Southern by god's grace? To me, you're just a couple more speed bumps in my path towards the purification of UWA. In fact, from what I see, the fact you're so proud of being American is a potential reason for me to want to use you two as examples of what I have to do. Why I say this because you two have some glaring elements of proud Americans that I can't stand. Lazy, and self righteous come to mind first.
Those are just some of the things that I stand against. Mindless self indulgence, and belief you don't need to do much because you have God on your side. That's taking the easy way out. That's just spitting in the face of the most basic of respect. Something which I have made very clear from day 1, I feel that I have to help bring back into this industry.
There is a reason why Baron said the things he said, and why to a point, I'll agree. See, you can claim all you want that you showed up each show, and were told you weren't needed. I'll give you credit for that, even though nobody ever saw you. Nobody talked about you two, and nobody even bothered to look for you two.
Yes, I will agree that in terms of tag team action, you guys are very good. You've defeated some tough competition in UWA, and pretty much have earned your right. However, I had to go through past videos just to see what you guys were talking about, because nobody was saying anything about you guys. It's like, you're here for a pay per view, and everyone shrugs their shoulders. In fact, the only reason why people gave a damn about you in the first place was because Sang Real made you guys something to give a damn about!
But the point is, for you Corn Bread Mafia, you failed to keep people's attention. Yet you still think you deserve the tag team titles just because you had that feud with Sang Real? That's almost as self righteous as those two clowns are.
Because you failed to keep people's attention, nobody is really talking about you. They're all talking about the Silver Baron and I, including you two, to a point. If you guys really feel, that people should be talking about you guys more, you should have done something, whether or not you were supposed to be on the shows. A segment where you're advertising some merchandise, or videos of your home life. Anything would have done, in order to remind us why we should care about a couple of backwater, toothless, hillbillies!
Theres is a hint of frustration and anger creeping through in the voice of the protector. He has clearly taken a dislike to the Worley brothers and it is very evident in his stance as he seems somewhat fidgety.
It's almost funny, that I have to say that. However, it is true. It's the basics of this, or any business. If you don't keep our attention, you fail to achieve and relevance. If you feel offended by my words, then you can just deal with it and accept the cold hard truth and move on. Or you can do something about it.
Go ahead and whine and complain all you want, because it's not going to change a thing about who you're going to face. I myself look forward to what you two can do, especially when motivated. If you really want those tag team titles, you're going to have to work for them. If you really do feel that the thought of losing to Baron and I is an injustice, then show why you got the best of Sang Real in the end. Show us why people cheered for you. I think that last one was only because you two were the ones being bullied around, and people like to see an underdog story. All you are now is a team that both Baron and I will admit, somehow managed to earn your spot. But I will guarantee you this. You won't be keeping it.
The protector shakes his head from side to side, a plain and simple gesture to anyone watching that on his watch Sang 'Real wont be breezing their way past the Sin City Knights no sir!
I have nothing else to say about you guys. Corn Bread Mafia, whether any of the Sin City Knights have any respect for you, we're not going to leave Raising Hell empty handed. Sorry boys, but you're going to have to do more then just believe that 'God' is on your side. Fight with everything you got, because Baron and I, it's our standard. If, and I do mean if, you can defeat Baron and I for the titles, just know that it will be a hard fought victory, and you better stick around for more then just the pay per view. I'm expecting when Baron and I win it at Raising Hell though, to be a well fought victory.
The tone in the protectors voice at this point is one of passion, even through the distortion it is clear that this is a man who wants to put on a show for the fans, and he truly hopes that the Worley brothers will bring their A game come Sunday night.
But also know this. If you happen to win, don't be surprised if the children played a hand in it. Matter of fact, I'm expecting those brainwashed fools and McBride to eventually target us, or at the very least me. Because I do stand against what he wants. Either way, I'll see you boys at Raising Hell. Because This Sunday, with one giant swing, the Hammer of Protection will shatter the hopes and dreams of you, the Worley brothers and bring them crashing down to reality. When push comes to shove there will be no almighty god to save you!
