The Silver Baron was taking a ride out in the Mojave desert in his silver Cadillac Eldorado. The desert humidity was not so bad on just the outskirts. He had hoped to find what he was looking for soon, as he knew the further in the desert, the worse the heat would be.
Silver Baron: There's no way he could be much further.
It was then he spotted what he was looking for. A chrome trailer hooked up to an SUV. Outside the Trailer there is a weights bench set up, on the bench is a man doing rep after rep, struggling with each one, see this man is topless and his ribs are heavily taped up, he battles through the pain. Baron turned and parked right by the SUV, and hopped out of his car. He walks over to the man on the weights bench and takes the bar off him setting it down. It is this point that it is clear the man is Fraser Freeman, Barons tag team partner, who looks rather shocked to see Baron. See this is Freeman's domain. The open desert, the baking sun.
This is where Freeman comes to think, this is where he comes to set his mind at ease and focus on the pathway infront of him. Freeman sits up grabbing a towel that is to the side of the bench and mopping the sweat from his brow.
Fraser Freeman: Vega? What are you doin' here mate? And how did ya find me?
Silver Baron: Couple things. Needed a ride to clear my head, and Jade said you come out here to clear your head, so I figured I'd come out hear see if I could find you and check in on you, two birds one stone.
Freeman nods and reaches down to his side and opens up a cooler.
Fraser Freeman: Thanks. Soda?
Silver Baron: What kind?
Fraser Freeman: Coke or Sprite.
Silver Baron: I'll take a Coke please.
Freeman nodded, and reached inside the cooler and pulled out two cans of Coke, he gave one to the Silver Baron, as the Silver Baron gestures his arms and leads them both over to his Eldorado. The Silver Baron sat on the hood of his car, surprising Freeman, who thought baron would be to worried about damage to do such a thing. Freeman followed suite, careful not to scratch anything, let he invokes his boss's wrath.
Fraser Freeman: So there must be something you reallllllly need to talk about if you traveled all the way out here to find me. Whats on your mind mate?
Silver Baron: Alot. I can't help but feel as if whatever can go wrong on Mayhem, will.
Freeman nods, agreeing. Things have not exactly gone to plan as of late for him. Hell the last mayhem Vince Jones power bombed him off the stage leaving him with 2 broken ribs and severe bruising to the majority of his others and to his back. He takes a swig of his coke before letting out a sigh.
Fraser Freeman: Tell me about it. Things just seem to be going from bad to worse for us both as of late. I mean I finally get my anger in check, clear my head and then I hit the worst losing streak I have had for a very long time. To top that off Vince Jones damn near crippled me at the last show, leaves me wondering what the hell is next!
Silver Baron: He's part of the problem. I know Vince's type. Which makes it frustrating to focus knowing I have to constantly look over my shoulder. I know Craven usually would, but he's got to protect himself and Skylar as well.
Fraser Freeman: Yeah and after his match I told the Protector to take the rest of the night off. I figured we had it covered if need be, though in hindsight probably not the best idea I've had. That's why I'm out here. There's something about the desert air, the heat, the humidity that just makes me feel at ease. Maybe it's because your lungs have to work that bit harder, you have to breathe that bit deeper that you have to work twice as hard to just breathe let along anything else. See Vega were not that different after all. You have Oblivion and well, I have the deep seated anger monster who wants nothing more than to destroy everything in its path. That's why I am here. I needed to get away and I needed to keep the monster from resurfacing.
Silver Baron: Suppose so. But I do need to ask of a favor.
Fraser Freeman: Why do I get the feeling I'm not going to like this?
Silver Baron: It's nothing bad. I just wanted to ask if you could tell the Protector, to make sure Vince doesn't go anywhere near me. I don't want to deal with him if he's trying to use me to get to you. I'd also ask for more then just that, but I get the feeling that the children will be a non issue.
Fraser Freeman: That I can. But word of warning Vega, try not to ask this too many times. He may be one of us, but I wont bullshit you mate, he is very much his own man. He is very much out for himself in the long run.
Silver Baron: I figured as such. But all things considered, this is needed this time. Hell, the girls don't know it yet, but I'm not bringing them with me this time.
Fraser Freeman: Wise move. Who knows what Vince might do next to send me a message and hell nobody is EVER sure about what the children are going to do. Anyway speaking of the girls, how is Jade? I well, erm, I haven't spoke to her for some time now, she all good?
Silver Baron: Oh yeah. She's fine.
Fraser Freeman: That's good. Now my turn for a favor. Don't tell her I was asking after her please. Things haven't been great between us as of late, last thing I need is her seeing me fishing for info as me wanting her back, even if deep down I do, she isn't safe around me and it's best for all of us if it stays that way, at least for the time being.
Silver Baron: Not a problem man.
Fraser Freeman: Listen dude, you came out here to clear your head yeah?
Silver Baron: Yeah. Even with my contingencies, I'm not exactly feeling an better.
Fraser Freeman: Well you still want to clear your head? Not saying it will be easy physically like, but I know exactly the right thing, interested?
Silver Baron: Sure.
Fraser Freeman: I got a spare set of training gear in the trailer. They might be a bit baggy on you like but it should do the trick. See before you showed up I was about to go for a run, see out here the air is sticky and humid, it is hard on your lungs. So hard that running out here you have no time to think about anything but how you can keep breathing.
Silver Baron: Alright. Can't hurt to much.
Freeman nods as he jumps down off the hood of Baron's Eldorado, he goes into his trailer and comes back with the spare training gear, Baron goes round the back of the Eldorado and true to Freeman's word the gear is baggy as hell on him, so much so he looks like a extra in a marky mark music video, Baron shakes his head as Freeman laughs and Baron sees the funny side and chuckles himself. The pair run off into the desert, their lungs instantly working harder, each step and breath becoming a struggle. The Sin City Knights run side by side in unison possibly the closest they have been as a pair since their arrival in UWA, brought together through difficult times despite their differences in opinions.
Later on, The Silver Baron would be right back in his office at the Pleasure Dome. The run had gotten him extremely exhausted, but enabled him to have his head cleared, even if for a few minutes. He was right back to business, as he was going over a few things with Jade and Nicole for the night.
Jade: Hey boss. Rumor has it the bikers are gonna be reaming here for a few more days. Why is that?
Silver Baron: Oh that. Well it's no rumor, as they are.
Nicole: Why though? The dome doesn't need anymore security.
Silver Baron: Usually I'd agree, but with whom I'm facing, and with Freeman's issues, extra security, especially from people I trust, will help put my mind at ease. Speaking of, I want you two to remain here.
Jade: Like hell we are! We can take care of ourselves.
Silver Baron: Don't question me on this. Your safety is important afterall. I refuse to have a repeat situation like what Stalker did.
Nicole sighed, which got the attention of both Jade and the Silver Baron. They looked at her, wondering what she was going to say.
Nicole: You're both right. Like Jade said, we can take care of ourselves. We're not porcelain dolls. However with whom Baron is facing, that alone is warrant for concern.
Jade: Tch. Fine.
Silver Baron: Thank you girls. I know that it might seem a bit much, but...fuck. Rather just be safe.
The girls nodded, both now understanding as to why the Silver Baron didn't want them around this show. In fact, the girls both gave the Silver Baron light embrace each, to express gratitude. The Silver Baron chuckled for a second.
Silver Baron: Thanks. Now is there anything else that we need to go over?
Nicole: We're good. We'll get things organized and ready for tonight.
With that, the girls left the Silver Baron's office. Once the door was closed, he put away his laptop and binders. He rubbed his temples briefly, before hearing Oblivion's chuckling again.
Though his bases were covered, and even with the run in the desert helping, his mind was not fully at ease. It was more then just him being paranoid. It was general frustration with a few things.
Silver Baron: I'm not the least bit surprised a fiend like McBride is around. I refuse to be a victim of his. Cliche as it is, I must do what I can to defeat him this week. Maybe...Yeah. I think it's time I tell him exactly what he's up against, and why It took such a long time for anyone to gain the slightest victory over me.
The Silver Baron chuckled for a second. He then heard Oblivion's laughter getting louder. To the point where it was starting to cause him a headache. But he ignored the pain, and brought out his camcorder and tripod. He set them up, and began to record. But he had more then just McBride on his mind. He also had his sole loss, and Vince Jones there as well.
Silver Baron: Well UWA, it looks like when it comes down to it, yours truly, the Silver Baron, can no longer claim an undefeated streak in UWA. Inspite of that, I can claim, that I do have the longest undefeated streak at the current moment. However, I myself have yet to actually be defeated, as last Mayhem, I wasn't the one who took the fall.
Inspite of that one tiny positive detail, my mood has not been great. No. With what I'm about to face, along with being dragged into Freeman's problems, it is taking every single drop of willpower that I possess, to keep Oblivion, not only from breaking out, but to grow stronger.
The anger in the fact the Knights lost, inspite of the fact we were up against the champ and a former, although undeserving contender...it's festering deep. But that will be a mistake that will be rectified, especially that now, I no longer give a fuck! I am going to get my title shot, one way, or another!
But as we know, there's more to it to cause my evil half to possibly grow stronger. Paranoia. Paranoia, that a certain loudmouth dolt that everyone knows as Vince Jones, will try to once again, use me as an example. While he did get the drop on me before, he hasn't defeated me. And as long as I have something to say about it, he never will.
The Silver Baron clutched his scepter cane hard, to the point where his knuckles were turning white. He hated the fact that Jones targeted him by association. That, or the Silver Baron figured Vince was still butt-hurt over the fact that he defeated Jones right after Jones's title victory.
Silver Baron: I could be wrong, but deep down, I know he's going to try again. But for him, I know that I have at least one person who can take care of him and whomever he decides to bring forth in what I have no doubt, is another attempt to make me an example. To bad that if he does that, I'll have no choice, but to use his ass, as a brand new placeholder for my scepter!
But, even without the possibility of Vince Jones rearing his ugly ghetto mug, the main source of my paranoia, lies in something far more sinister. Something that has been plaguing the UWA almost since it's inception. I am of course, talking about the Children of Nephilim, and their leader, and my next opponent, Joshua McBride.
It's easy to see why I would be paranoid. With what he's capable of in order to fuck with his opponents. I would usually bring with me my main ladies, but they're better off in Vegas this time, along with extra security I have in place. The reason for this, is I'm not stupid. I'm not taking any risks. Because I wouldn't put it past McBride, to involve the girls somehow.
The Silver Baron ran his left hand through his hair for a second, remembering when Stalker Knight had done something very similar. He knew better now, and refused to let the same shit happen again.
Silver Baron: McBride, as we are well aware of, has been causing nothing but pure torture to the current main event scene of UWA. Arsenal, and Aerynn Donnelly. Through many hit and run tactics, to going after their loved ones, what is McBride's endgame? Is it anarchy? I get the feeling that it's not something like that.
Considering, that he's been going after the main ladies of UWA thus far, one cannot help but wonder, what is his problem with them? Did he know any of them before, past life, or past job? Or is he just playing a sick game for his own amusement? Is he violently jerking himself off, as he causes those poor women pain? Or maybe, he has a disdain of women, and wants to subject them all to his will?
Those are questions I don't know the answers to, nor do I care to know the fucken answers to. All I care, is having UWA flush this giant piece of shit out of here as soon as possible!
Your presence McBride, has caused everyone else, to not be mentioned so much, because we're all focused on what you're going to do, because you managed to get our attention, and as much as most people will deny, they love drama. They love the conflict, and they love a good villain.
As for me, well I am going to have to deny them those guilty pleasures, because I don't give a fuck about those things. The whole goddamn wrestling world should be paying attention to actual, hard working, charismatic oozing, unfiltered greatness. More specifically, somebody who can back it up with no problem. To put it bluntly, they should be paying attention to me!
The Silver Baron smirked. He was clearly showing that he has great confidence in his ability to fight. Even with all the possibilities of things going wrong, the Silver Baron doesn't know when to quit. But upon more thinking about things, especially the previous show, the Silver Baron felt that he had a very good chance at victory, inspite of his minor setback.
Silver Baron: But perhaps, the best part of everything going on now, is that last Mayhem, you lost to Kyle Travis. One of the many guys on this, and any other roster, who's main skill, is running his fucken mouth. People who are all talk, very little game, when it comes to facing truly superior opposition. Somebody we both agree on, is materialistic, along with living in the past.
You almost had the win, but seeing that new guy, Shawn Crowe, and his crew, to stop your children from doing their job...Not only did it show some light, but it exposed you. Exposed you, as somebody who needs his pawns to do his dirty work. Without your children...Without your pawns...You're absolutely fucken NOTHING!
Without your children, you're nothing. All your propoganda...all your talks about pain, suffering, and outright manipulation...it means nothing!
But I know your kind McBride. As you know, I recently dealt with Stalker Knight, for doing similar things as you have been doing. I dealt with him permanently, and I got no problem in doing the exact same thing to you. So much so, that if pushed enough, you might find yourself in the grave!
The memories of what Stalker Knight did to Nicole was not forgotten. Because of mentioning this, the Silver Baron was now scowling. He then looked down for just a second, and sighed, as he stretched his hands out.
Silver Baron: McBride, I have to ask you something. To many things actually. But the question on my mind right now is, do you know the feeling of blood on your hands? Not animal blood, but actual, human blood. More specifically, have you ever taken a life, for any reason? Wouldn't surprise me if your have. But has anyone else you've been toying with, able to make that claim?
The answer, is no. That's the difference between me and them, and why you will not defeat me McBride. I do know the feeling, of human blood on my hands. It's part of the reason as to why I have MPD. Why Oblivion exists.
You see McBride, there is a story I'd like to share. One of which is, close to my heart, and my mind. About ten years ago, there was this lovely, beautiful, fiery woman. A strong woman, who had two sons. They lived in not the best of conditions, but it was life. They also had a neighbour, who at first glance, was a generally nice guy. Only, he really wasn't. He was a sex offender. A hunter of women, almost like yourself, except he actually fucked.
One day, he decided to go after this strong willed woman, in an attempt to mentally break her. To have his way with her, whether she wanted to or not. Because he only viewed women as toys, that he could use. He wanted to play, and he wanted to see how much he could break To a point he did break her, and would have made her a real broken mess, or at the worst, a corpse, if he was successful. Thankfully for the woman, he wasn't. It was because he didn't count on her sons to come home early. But in this case, it was only the younger of her two sons.
The son, saw him try to rape his mother. The son, was a generally good natured kid who had a drive to succeed, and a respect for women, especially for those brave enough to use their bodies as their careers. So imagine to his utter horror and disgust, a man beating up his mother. Her clothes torn, and a wide, insane grin, were two things he saw, before ultimately blacking out.
When the boy came to, he felt a thick substance on his face. Blood. Not his own though. He saw a sharp knife, and the man, lying there, not moving. Multiple stab wounds all over the body. From the chest, groin, face, knee, and a slice at the throat. The boy killed the scoundrel. And while the police did come and saw the mess, they did nothing. They let the boy get away with murder, because they felt he was a hero, for taking the life of a repeated, registered, slippery sex offender.
But the boy did not once feel like a hero. He couldn't comprehend he did a heinous act, and got away with it. He was not somebody who enjoyed torture. He wanted to live a good life.
If you haven't guessed it, that boy, was me! When I saw what happened, and ultimately blacking out due to visual shock, I heard laughter. Echoing in my head. It just wouldn't stop. It taunted me about what I did. Urging me to draw more blood. Manifesting itself into what is now called Oblivion.
But what was the purpose of me revealing this dark moment in my life? It was to show why I was especially driven to take out Stalker Knight permanently, and to show, you're not up against somebody who will be easy pickings. No...you're up against somebody, who knows the feeling of ending a life. And guess what McBride...I doubt I'll have any problem doing so again. I would gladly kill again, if it means to protect my friends and family. Knowing you, you'd go after them if you really wanted to try to prove your dominance over me!
Only problem with you, is that a death like that would be merciful. In order to truly beat you, one has to defy everything you say, show that you're wrong, and then have your children turn against you.
I'm not saying I will do so just for the sake of it. If you drag anyone else into this match, to interfere, or do anything else that will invoke my wrath, well then I...
The Silver Baron's left eye began to suddenly twitch. It was at this very point, that Oblivion's laughter had gotten the best of the Silver Baron. He clutched his head, and yelled a bit. He got up, but his movement was erratic. He even knocked the camcorder down. Surprisingly, it still recorded. It picked up another yell, before silence ensued. Suddenly, a truly insane laugh was heard, as the camcorder was picked up, and put back in place. Only now, we saw the 'face' of Oblivion. He had broken through, and he had something to say to Joshua McBride himself.
Oblivion: We will do exactly as stated. We will, show how weak, pathetic, and useless you are. We will cause a riot, and strip away all your influence. And when you have nothing left, seeing yourself for a failure...then and only then, will you have permission to die!
Oblivion began to laugh. His laughter bounced off the walls of the office. He looked at the camera, with a look f pure bloodlust in his eyes. Even if he was going to be in the corner of the Silver Baron's mind, Oblivion very much looked forward to any potential carnage.
