It had been about a week since the Silver Baron had his street fight with Stalker Knight. A fight which Silver Baron had officially won, but was not exactly fully healed from yet. He still had to be careful about how he moved, as he had to have his back stitched up. However he was healing at a good rate, so he knew he wouldn't miss any time.
However, not all was good. The Silver Baron had seen the damage that Freeman was doing out of pure frustration. Not just the physical damage that had been done in a recent fight in the club, but the psychological damage it was doing towards the girls.
He had just finished cleaning up all the garbage that was produced from the night before. Alot of broken glass, and just general litter. He went outside, and tossed the last garbage bag into the dumpster. He wiped his forehead, and checked to see if his stitches had come undone. He smiled when he felt no blood.
Male voice: Last night was quite a mess, wasn't it?
The Silver Baron looked, and saw his recent recruit, Craven, standing up against the club wall outside. The Silver Baron sighed, and joined him.
Silver Baron: Normally I would say not to scare me like that, but then you wouldn't be doing your job.
Craven: Suppose not. Still though, your reaction was amusing.
Silver Baron: Har har. Cigarette?
Craven: Sure.
The Silver Baron pulled out a couple cigarettes from his jacket, and gave one to Craven. He li both of them up, and the two began to smoke.
Craven: I've been meaning to ask you something. What do you know about Miss Mercy?
Silver Baron: Who?
Craven: Oh you know...Mercedes.
Silver Baron: Oh her. Long legs and red hair?
Craven: Yes that's her.
Silver Baron: Oh. Okay what about her. All I know is, she's good at her job, but sometimes doesn't show up much.
Craven: Indeed. Well Freeman and I have noticed a few things about her. Call it my instincts I've developed over taking leads and such, but there's just something not right about her.
Silver Baron: Really? Like she might have some sort of disfiguration, or something?
The Silver Baron took a long drag of his cigarette as Craven shook his head. Craven would do the same, but he now had Silver Baron's full attention.
Craven: Not sure, but something tells me she's not who she says she is. Did you do a background check on her by any chance?
Silver Baron: Only a quick one. Nothing bad showed up. Then again, there's not much that can prevent a whore, from being a whore, know what I'm saying?
Craven: Yeah. But if it's clean, or almost non existent, it's likely to good to be true. So yeah, Freeman asked me to keep an eye on her for a while.
Silver Baron: True. But where did your suspicions begin to act up?
Craven: Well we noticed a few times she went from a particular bar, to some really bad, seedy motel.
Silver Baron: Ah, well I think you guys might be overreacting a bit. But if you feel you need to further search, I don't see the harm. If she doesn't like it, to damn bad.
Craven: Alright then. I shall. There's a good chance you might be right, and it might be nothing. But hey, better safe then sorry eh?
Silver Baron: Yeah. Just make sure you keep yourself hidden, and since this is a security thing, keep Freeman in the know. I would only suggest a report every couple weeks or so. But anything big, you tell the both of us. We clear?
Craven: Crystal.
Silver Baron: Good. Hopefully Skylar won't get to jealous of this.
Both men chuckled at that, as they finished off their cigarettes. Craven quickly left, going into his car, and driving off. The Silver Baron sighed, walking back in. The club was still empty from the clean up. Though it was still a couple hours away before anyone actually had to come in for work.
~~Five hours later~~
The Pleasure dome was now back in full swing. Many people were coming in, but it was nowhere near close to peak hour. The Silver Baron was looking over some of his expenses in his office, when suddenly, he heard the door open up. He looked up, and saw Nicole come in. He smirked. The both of them were glad that he took care of Stalker Knight for the time being.
Nicole: Everything alright boss?
Silver Baron: Mostly. Stalker's dealt with, we celebrated all this week, and I'm getting a shot to prove myself against one of the champions in UWA.
Nicole: Ah yes. I had heard you were supposed to face Vince Jones this week.
Silver Baron: Indeed. Will be the second North American Champion I will have beaten.
Nicole: Oh yeah. You managed to beat Travis before.
Silver Baron: Yup. I think I was the only person, besides Donelly, who beat him while he was champion. Which could be very good for me if he actually wins the title on Mayhem, because I don't give a fuck what anyone says, I'm first in line. As the only undefeated person left on the roster currently, I think it's time that this waist of mine, gets some gold around it.
Nicole: Aww. But I like that part of you. You keep it in great shape, for me to run my fingers over them abs. Then again, I think putting some gold around it would be kinda sexy.
Silver Baron: Yes. You get it. Aside from the accomplishment part of it.
Nicole: But what about if you do lose? Not that I have my doubts, especially after Searing Agony, but...Vince did beat Freeman.
Silver Baron: Yeah and the Pleasure Dome paid for it during that fight last night. So much so I told him to not come in tonight. Not to mention the rest of the girls looked a bit shaken up.
Nicole: Oh. Well do you think this place will still be safe?
Silver Baron: Babe...I would never compromise the safety of you and the rest of the girls. You all make us the money, and I advertise you girls, along with keeping y'all safe.
Nicole: That you do.
Silver Baron: That being said, I don't blame you for your concern. About me getting a loss. Vince does have that to his name. However, from what I understand, he's mostly talk. He thinks of himself as the only thing that matters. Much like a former North American champion I laid the smackdown on.
Nicole: Indeed
Silver Baron: Yup. But on the topic of Jones...Well clearly, if Vince was as he believes himself to be, then things would be different. However, as it is, It's not. Yeah he's good at what he does, but his ego is his weakness. Not to mention he tends to use underhanded tactics.
Nicole: Yeah that much is true. Not to mention a massive sore loser. What with trying to run over Fraser and all.
Silver Baron: That's right. But also think of it this way. While Vince is the North American Champion, he did not beat the now former champion, to get the title.
Nicole: What exactly does that mean boss?
Silver Baron: It means that his title reign is one that for the time being, is lucky. He's lucky that he was able to become champion. Thus, it creates in the record books, an asterik. I'll be giving more details about that when I address the UWA soon. That is, if I remember that bit.
Nicole: Ah. Makes sense I suppose.
Silver Baron: Yeah. The term 'to be the man, you have to beat the man' applies to this situation. Classic line, but lots of insight.
Nicole: Yeah.
The Silver Baron theb sighed. He was glad that Nicole was more then just a simple employee of his. It almost seemed as if she enjoyed being his confidant in alot of matters. But there was one thing that was bothering him, and Nicole noticed the troubled expression.
Nicole: What's wrong?
Silver Baron: Not a whole lot. I'm just a little mad that there are some complications towards one of my goals right now. I got the warehouse, but I can't seem to get a few things in order to actually run a pornography studio.
Nicole: Oh. You never mentioned this before.
Silver Baron: Yeah wanted to get things more concrete. Just don't have the money right now. Will soon hopefully.
Nicole: Well, what if I could suggest something to help.
Silver Baron: I'm all ears Nicole.
Nicole: Well, there is this biker gang from Canada that actually wants to come here soon in order to host some big biker convention. They even said this was the very first place they wanted to have it.
Silver Baron: Huh. You'd think that they'd go to Sturgis, or Port Dover.
Nicole: Port Dover?
Silver Baron: Yeah. It's a small town in Ontario, but it's tradition that bikers and enthusiasts go there every Friday the 13th. The only one this year has already passed.
Nicole: Oh. Well apparently the person who called said that this was to be discussed in person, so you got a meeting in a few days about this.
Silver Baron: Oh really?
Nicole: Yes. Sorry to have to drop this on you like that, but you needed to know so to keep your schedule clear. Would be kinda rude otherwise.
Silver Baron: Yeah. Well alright, I'll have this meeting when it comes. But until then, I suppose it's business as usual.
Nicole: Indeed it is boss.
Nicole then got up, feeling the conversation was done. However, just before she left, the Silver Baron grabbed her by the waist, stopping her from proceeding out.
Silver Baron: Don't forget though. You're gonna be busy outside the club with a bachelor party. So make sure you take one of the guys from security, or even call Freeman if you want to, to accompany you. And of course, you know the rules.
Nicole: Oh I know. Charge extra for each fuck if they want more then just a show.
Silver Baron: Excellent.
The Silver Baron let her go, but not before giving Nicole a nick smack on her ass, which she giggled a bit. She then left the Silver Baron's office, going back to her job. The Silver Baron then got up, and poured himself a glass of scotch on the rocks. And being that his camcorder was already set up, he went over, and pressed record, taking a sip of his scotch in the process.
Silver Baron: Ladies and Gentlemen, I can't tell you how good it feels to have had surgery recently. Surgery, to both patch up a beaten, bruised, and torn body, and a successful removal of a major thorn in my side.
It should be of no surprise, that for those who did watch Searing Agony, that yes, I took a barbed wire baseball bat, to my back. Yet as painful as it looked, it didn't feel it. Was is everything that was leading up to my match with Stalker, causing an insane adrenaline rush that prevented me from feeling the full effects, or was it because I've probably have had worse. Likely a combination of both.
With that, the Silver Baron put down his scotch, and stood up, taking off his jacket, and tossing it to the side. He turned, and showed the camera, for a few seconds, all the stiches that he had across his back, all due to the barbed wire. He then turned back around, and sat down.
Silver Baron: So yeah, inspite walking around a bit after the match, I did have to get my back stitched up. Took it easy for a few days, then when I got back to Vegas, I fulfilled a promise to Nicole, and we celebrated, all night long, and alot were certainly invited. What a fucken night that was!
But now, with Stalker Knight no longer acting like a glorified road block towards me, I finally feel a weight off my shoulders. I feel more free, and I'm all fired up and ready to go to wherever the fuck I want to go.
But with so much going on right now in UWA, that can be difficult. Luckily, I am a patient man. Well, this side of me is. Oblivion, well not so much, unless the chaotic payoff, according to him, is to be an epic masterpiece of anarchy and destruction.
The Silver Baron smirked. His head was actually relatively quiet the past few days. He could still hear Oblivion a bit, but the constant nagging that Oblivion was doing before had greatly reduced, for the time being. Wasn't hurting that the Silver Baron was more willing to converse with his evil counterpart from time to time.
Silver Baron: However, inspite of all that is going on, I do come face to face with a rather interesting challenge. For you see, come Mayhem, I am going to be facing off against somebody who's no doubt going to brag about his accomplishment from Searing Agony. For my opponent, Mr. Vince Jones, made UWA history, by being the first person that caused a title change, successfully winning the North American Title, in a triple threat. We're really doing quite well here in UWA, aren't we? We have a world champion that nobody knows whether to respect her or not, the first North American champion was a bore who believes he's worth something, and the person who won the title, did it with an asterik.
Yes Vince, your win will have an asterik to it, until you have proven yourself, by beating Kyle Travis one on one. And if he wins the world title on Mayhem, well then you'll never be able to shake that. See you and I both know, Triple threat matches have that X factor of an extra competitor to it. With an extra competitor, you create more scenarios, more opportunities, but the challengers may sometimes get a certain stigma should they win. They will get it, like you did, for you see, you did not beat the champion going into the match. You did not pin Kyle Travis. Believe me, I've been trying to keep Freeman from wrecking everything in sight.
Your victory at Searing Agony, hit hard for Freeman. For you see, unlike you, Freeman could boast, an undefeated streak. Hell, I myself, am undefeated in UWA, and that's something I don't ever plan to change. But like you, he's going to be seeking redemption. He's going to do whatever it takes, in order for for him to make that loss vanish from all but the record books. It's turned him into a wild animal, more so worse then he's ever been since joining UWA. You Vince, whether or not he's trying to protect the world at this point, you are his prey, and he's going to devour you.
Yet from one man to another, that is the least of your worries, for the time being. Afterall, it's in your best interest to pay attention to the here and now.
The Silver Baron gave a wide smirk, indicating that he was going to do more then just go in and simply have a match with Vince Jones. The smirk promised that Vince had no idea what he was about to face.
Silver Baron: As I said, you didn't beat the champion going into the match. You didn't beat Kyle Travis. No you pinned Freeman after taking advantage. Smarts wise, that's pure brilliance. Yet if you really want to boast about how you're the champ, you didn't do it right. That is why I hate triple threat championship matches, because the title can change hands without the champ being part of the pinfall or submission.
So with that said Vince, you got a tough road ahead. One filled with other hungry competitors who want that slab of gold you carry. Amongst those, is me, the hardcore pimp, Silver Baron.
Oh I'm sure that you celebrated your title win for quite some time, and there's a good chance you celebrated like I did with Nicole. But now, it's time for you to prove why you're the champion. And hell, if you're successful, that asterik will vanish sooner, rather then later.
But right now, it's looking to be quite later. For you see Vince, when I said that Freeman was the least of your worries, I was not joking. As you know, you have to deal with me first. It might just be the adrenaline rush talking, but I feel rather unstoppable right now. I feel as if I can take anyone on, as cliche as it sounds.
I have proven already that I can't be taken down by cheap tactics, hit and runs, and ganging up. And really, that's all you're known for. Trying to run down Freeman failed, and the only reason why you won at Searing Agony, was due to cheap, though brilliantly executed tactics.
You can brag all you want Vince, because quite frankly, I don't care. You can say anything you want about me, especially about Oblivion. Again, I don't fucken care! Why? Because unlike you, I don't need to justify a goddamn thing! All you are Jones, is mostly talk. Inspite of the fact you can fight, you have a hard time backing up all the shit that comes out of your mouth. So inspite of your championship win, why should I feel any form of intimidation?
If you want to be taken seriously, then it's time to nut up and shut up, or get the fuck outta here. But come Mayhem, that's not going to matter, as not only am I going to do what I do best, and that's whooping ass, I'm going to make whooping your ass look like it's the easiest thing in the world to do.
So bring your cocky self, and show off your title. Because Vince, those who bark the loudest, will fail the hardest!
The Silver Baron sighed, before he chuckled. He downed the rest of his scotch rater quickly, nd shook off the immediate effects. If it was possible, you cold almost see a powerful fire in the Silver Baron's eyes, as he was all fired up.
However, not all was good. The Silver Baron had seen the damage that Freeman was doing out of pure frustration. Not just the physical damage that had been done in a recent fight in the club, but the psychological damage it was doing towards the girls.
