J-Shades Is sitting up in bed in his hotel room, leaning his head on his hand, looking as if in deep thought. There’s a lamp on the nightstand to his right, giving the room a very dim orange glow. The camera is close up on his face, only one side illuminated from the lamp, though Jay isn't looking at it.
Jay: Six times. That’s how many times I've watched your triple threat match, trying to get the edge on you, Garbage Man. On the last time it finally dawned on me… why were you even in that match? The series of events went - and correct me if I’m wrong - (counting on his hands) you lost your qualifying match, you bitched about it, you interfered in a match to get revenge on your opponent, and that got you in the match? (his eyes dart back and forth between the camera and somewhere off in the distance, looking confused) Did you actually think that was going to get you the North American Championship?
Let me tell you something about being a champion. The champion is someone who is the best of the best. Excuse me, he is the best of the best. The champion holds their belt high above their head and says “I‘m the best this place has to offer. I am better then everyone else.” A champion fights with honor. (looking at the camera with disappointment) A champion is not someone who takes cheap shots cause he’s a sore loser.
And I already know what you’re gonna say, that chick Kaylyn deserved what you did to her. That she cheated in her match against you.
But who really cares?
In case you haven’t noticed, this is the world of Professional Wrestling. Let me tell you a little secret, (putting his hand up to his mouth and whispering) not everyone here plays nice in the ring. Eyes get poked, turnbuckles get exposed, crotches get violated. That’s how things go down in the ring. (chuckling) They don’t call me the Bad Boy for no reason, I understand that sometimes, a rule or two has to be broken. Don’t act like some sort of white knight going around (putting on his best super hero voice) defending the Earth from those who threaten peace in our promotion. (chuckling) You know damn well you’d do the same thing if you had the opportunity. You do what you gotta do to get things done in the ring. You get beat in the ring, though, then you’re beat. Get over it, move on. There’s no room for sore losers here in Unchained. You lost your match at Spring Slaughter too, so you better have moved on, cause you’ve got a new threat to worry about.
So when we go into Salem bring everything you’ve got. You’re going to need it. And one day when you see me with gold strapped around my waist, and you realize you were just a stepping stone on my path to greatness, don’t feel bad, and don’t get sore. Brush yourself off and get on with your ordinary, trash filled life. Nobody likes a sore loser.
