Bethany Kenyon walks down the hallway towards a motel room in Reno, Nevada. She, her sister and their friend/manager, Nikki Peltier, had been here for an extra week or so waiting for Jeszika Gautier to return from New York City. Now, with her phone pressed to her ear, the time had almost arrived to go home and get ready for the next chapter of the Unchained Wrestling Alliance. The first champion had been crowned in Aerynn Donnelly, much to the shock of most expert observers. Going in both Nick Daniels and the Sentinel had been favored with Aerynn and Pauly O'Connor both judged long shots at best. Aerynn and Pauly had proven everyone wrong and now, Aerynn Donnelly was the UWA World Champion, thus shoving it straight up Connor Murphy and Gabriel Krown's sexist, misogynistic asses in the process!
It should be a great time, what with a woman on top, but after having been left off the show and the knowledge of Jeszika's marriage to Broderick Montgomery, III being broadcasted to everyone, Bethany couldn't help but wonder where things were going to go now. The Rising Sun Dynasty were the latest arrivals to the company and she and her sister, Ashley, had been chosen to be their first match, a great honor to say the least, but what mindset would they be in after that announcement regarding Jeszika and Brody?
Bethany Kenyon: Yeah... I'm almost there now...
She shakes her head as continues on down the hallway, her sister's angry voice blaring in her ear. Ashley had not stopped yelling since the new regarding Jezzy and Brody had come down and now he was still going!
Bethany Kenyon: Look... we'll go out and party later when we get home, ok? Have a blowout before we go face the Dynasty.
Ashley's voice comes back raging over her phone.
Bethany Kenyon: Look, I'm here, ok? We'll see you in like an hour or so...
She smiles as Ashley seemingly calms down.
Bethany Kenyon: Love you too, Ash.
She hangs up and knocks on the door. Almost immediately, Jeszika's voice meets her ears.
Jeszika Gautier: Come in!
Bethany walks in, her eyes almost glued to the floor. Jeszika turns around and smiles
Jeszika Gautier: Hey B, how's it going?
She trails off as she sees her friends eyes on the floor and a small touch of panic floods her.
Jeszika Gautier: B... is everything ok?
Bethany nods.
Bethany Kenyon: I didn't tell them about Brody...
Surprise floods Jeszika's face.
Jeszika Gautier: About Brody? But I didn't tell you what happened, how do you know?
Bethany nods to the phone.
Bethany Kenyon: I could hear it...
Jeszika looks down suddenly embarrassed.
Jeszika Gautier: I told him to stop while I was on the phone... I told him...
Jeszika sighs.
Jeszika Gautier: Thank you, B. That means a lot, though, I guess now is as a good a time as any to tell you why I went with him. It's... It's not what you think... And I have to tell someone else...
Bethany manages to look up to her friend's eyes.
Bethany Kenyon: Tell what?
Jeszika Gautier: I slept with Brody, B... And I liked it... what we did in the Limo, what you heard... That was nothing... We did it against the wall... On the bench... B... I don't think I can hate him anymore... I... I want to go back to him. I think I'm falling for him, B...
Bethany just stares at her.
Bethany Kenyon: So it's really real? This marriage... it's not bullshit?
Jeszika shakes her head.
Jeszika Gautier: No.
Bethany Kenyon: Wow... so, what about Melissa?
Jeszika Gautier: We're...
She looks away.
Jeszika Gautier: We're calling it off...
Bethany shakes her head.
Bethany Kenyon: I don't know if I could do that... but then... my situation is a little different anyway.
Jeszika Gautier: That's true, how is that situation going?
Bethany shrugs.
Bethany Kenyon: It's...
She shakes her head, obviously struggling.
Bethany Kenyon: I talked to my father about it... had never done that before. Then I went to see Carrie again.
Jeszika Gautier: What did your father say?
Bethany sniffles, her eyes glistening as she smiles.
Bethany Kenyon: That Mom would have been proud I finally told him.
Jeszika smiles
Jeszika Gautier: Well that's awesome... I remember when I told my Mom...
She looks sad suddenly then looks away.
Jeszika Gautier: Not one of the better moments in my life that's for sure... She'd be ecstatic I'm married to a guy now that's for sure.
Bethany Kenyon: He told me he'd had an inkling a long time ago. Admitted at first, the idea that I might not date a guy was off-putting but he'd had time to get used to it and was just waiting for me to feel comfortable telling him.
Jeszika Gautier: My Mother was... Not so accepting... She kicked me out... I was fourteen, B, fourteen years old and she kicked me out. Thankfully I had friends who helped me out and I grew up somewhere where I was accepted.
Bethany Kenyon: My Dad actually told me my Mom dabbled too.
Jeszika Gautier: Wow, didn't see that coming... really? When she was a teenager was it?
Bethany Kenyon: He wasn't specific, just hugged me and said whatever choice I made, he loved me.
Jeszika Gautier: Well you are a lovable girl, he'd be crazy if he didn't.
Bethany smiles, looking down and blushing.
Bethany Kenyon: Thanks, Jezzy. Anyway, after that I slept on things and then went to see Carrie the next night and... while we were talking, Jonas gave me that look...
Jeszika Gautier: Oh really? And then?
Bethany shrugs.
Bethany Kenyon: That was it, he just... looked at me for a minute.
Jeszika Gautier: And you didn't go talk to him later... why, exactly?
Bethany shrugs.
Bethany Kenyon: He wasn't there long and I didn't wanna be a bitch to Carrie.
Jeszika nods.
Jeszika Gautier: How did it go with Carrie?
Bethany Kenyon: Ok, I guess...
Jeszika Gautier: Have you told her how you feel yet?
Bethany shakes her head.
Bethany Kenyon: Not totally... cause... I don't know... really and truly.
Jeszika Gautier: Well to be all cheesy and all.... You wont know, truly... Until you try. I didn't know for a couple of years why I wasn't attracted to boys, why I sneaked peeks at girls in locker rooms, why boy girl porn did nothing for me and girl girl did... I didn't truly know until I had my first girl... Of course we were drunk, but something just.... clicked in me and I knew...
Bethany nods.
Bethany Kenyon: Yeah, but I have... with her... and you... twice...
Jeszika Gautier: And when you get past the awkwardness of us being friends... Did it feel right?
Bethany nods.
Bethany Kenyon: Yes...
She pauses.
Bethany Kenyon: It never felt wrong... and that scared me...
Jeszika Gautier: Don't let it scare you B... If it feels right, its part of who you are. You should accept it, embrace it.
Bethany nods.
Bethany Kenyon: Up until the last time, I had to be drunk and high to do it...
Jeszika Gautier: And what about the last time? Did that feel right? Did it feel like that was something you'd wanna do again?
Bethany nods.
Bethany Kenyon: Better, actually...
She pauses.
Bethany Kenyon: It was like my first time...
Jeszika Gautier: Well I guess technically... it was your first time... The first time you admitted it was what you wanted to do.
She smiles
Jeszika Gautier: If it felt right, go with it...
Bethany smiles.
Bethany Kenyon: Yeah... I guess you were... again.
Jeszika Gautier: I think you should go talk to Carrie about this, like I said, you wont know till you try, either its what you wanna do or not.
Bethany Kenyon: Ok... in the meantime, Ash and Nik don't know. And the Brody thing is gonna upset Ash enough...
Jeszika Gautier: I know and I don't think I can convince her otherwise, I wish I could.
Bethany shrugs.
Bethany Kenyon: We'll think of something.
Jeszika Gautier: I hope so.
