Officer Saraya Hope clicks the cuffs into place around the blonde woman’s wrists, leaving it so that they aren’t too tight but tight enough to allow her to lead her arrestee towards her squad car. With the sun shining brightly and beating down on Tucson as is tends to do, Saraya tries to get her charge to move quicker so they can get into the air conditioning and away from the Arizona heat.
Saraya: Come on, Jessie, we don’t have the time for this…
The blonde woman, Jessie Dupree, just shakes her head in disgust.
Jessie: Man, my Dad is gonna kick my ass for this…
Saraya: Well when you break the law that’s kinda what happens… You get grounded and do the time for the crime.
Jessie shakes her head again.
Jessie: He’s a bondsman, so he’s seen this a lot but he’ll be more upset that I’m getting arrested for stupid shit I didn’t even do again.
Saraya: Sure you didn’t do it…
Sarcasm drips in her voice.
Jessie: I didn’t, I don’t drink that much whiskey at once and i damn sure don’t need the heat it brings to try and just walk out of the shop with the bottle.
Saraya: Guilty by association then.. I know you and the crowd you run around with, you’re always up to something…
Jessie snickers.
Jessie: Wrestling fan, are you?
Saraya: Yes… but that’s neither here nor there…
They reach the car and she opens the back door.
Saraya: In you get.
Jessie nods as she slips into the backseat.
Jessie: You are, huh?
Saraya: Have been since I was a kid.
Saraya buckles her in then shuts the door of the car, before making her way around to the driver’s side and getting in herself.
Jessie: Great, got arrested by a fan…
Saraya: Arrested by an OFFICER. Please don’t think of me as a fan. You guys were never my favorites anyways. I was more of a Raevyn Lilja fan, but that’s not what we’re here for Jessie. So if you weren’t stealing anything, what were you doing there with those other two?
Jessie looks at her like she has three heads.
Jessie: They’re my girlfriends.
Saraya: And what were you doing there? What were they doing there?
Jessie cocks her head incredulously.
Jessie: It’s a liquor store, we were looking for… whatever struck the fancy.
Saraya: And stealing it?
Jessie shrugs.
Jessie: I wasn’t, couldn’t speak for anybody else though the owner seemed to think Vikki was. Why, you’d have to ask him.
Saraya: He set off the silent alarm, so you guys must have done something.
Jessie shrugs.
Jessie: I have no idea. I know when the screaming started, I was by the beer case looking at cheap wine and Daisy was barely in the building because she doesn’t really like liquor stores and the guy kinda scared her. Vikki was probably looking at Jack Daniel’s and counting cases.
Saraya: You know all we’ll need to do is check footage to confirm, right?
Jessie nods.
Jessie: Yeah, I’m just saying, I didn’t do anything to make that guy freak.
Saraya: Then who did, huh?
Jessie shrugs.
Jessie: I don’t know, i wasn’t looking at all the other people, I was looking at the bottles. Couldn’t even tell you how many other people were actually IN the store at the time.
Pausing, Jessie nods in acknowledgement.
Jessie: Well, except for me, Vikki, Daisy and the guy behind the counter.
Saraya: So have you done any drugs today?
Jessie: Um, what time is it?
Saraya look at her dash clock
Saraya: It's 10:40 pm… why? Do you quite regularly lose track of time?
Jessie shrugs, looking away.
Jessie: You’re asking if I’ll pop positive for anything if you piss me, right?
Saraya: No… I’m asking if you’ve drank enough water today…
She says sarcastically.
Jessie: Yeah, I’ll pop positive for cocaine.
Saraya: Is that all?
Jessie nods.
Jessie: Yeah, we hadn’t bought any liquor yet and hadn’t gotten anything else. That usually happens later if it’s going to.
Saraya: So basically you’re telling me, you’ve done nothing really?
Jessie: I’m saying I did coke recently enough to pop positive but we hadn’t gotten to the party yet tonight before the guy flipped his shit in the liquor store.
Saraya: Where was the party?
Jessie: That usually depends on Vikki’s mood.
Suddenly there’s the sound of a cell phone ringing in the back of the car. Saraya looks in rear view mirror at Jessie.
Saraya: Friend of yours?
Jessie shrugs.
Jessie: Probably…
Saraya: Suppose you want me to pull over and let you answer that, huh?
Jessie: It’d be nice but, not holding my breath unless you think it’s Vik or Dais.
Saraya: Only one way to find out…
Sh pulls over then gets out of the car and goes around to Jessie’s side, opening the door. She undoes the cuffs.
Saraya: No funny business ok? I have a taser and I’m not afraid to use it. And Speaker phone…
Jessie nods and quickly moves to answer the phone on speaker.
Jessie: Hello?
A frantic, tearful voice comes back at them.
Voice: Jessie?
Jessie looks down at her phone, fear running over her face.
Jessie: Daisy? What’s wrong?
The voice comes back, crying heavily.
Voice: He hited me…
Jessie: Dais? Who hit you? Where are you, Sweetie?
Voice: Vikki wanted to go get some drink, so she dropped me off at the red top bar and this guy came up and wanted to kiss me. I didn’t wanna and he hited me!
Jessie: Is Vikki back yet?
The voice comes back, childlike and worried.
Voice: No…
Jessie nods and then looks to Saraya.
Jessie: We need to go get her… now!
Saraya nods.
Saraya: Where are they?
Jessie: Daisy’s at the bar at the hotel, she calls it “red top” because the roof is red. If Vikki gets back there before we do, you’re gonna need back-up because Vikki will see whatever that guy did to Daisy and want blood.
Saraya: Don’t worry, I might too… Let’s go.
They both jump back in the car and drive off towards the hotel.
Jessie: Thank you for this, if you still need to take me in after, I’ll go, no questions asked.
Saraya: I don’t think that will be a problem.
They pull up to the hotel and hurry inside. There, they find the statuesque blonde woman, Daisy Thompson, sitting on the bench just outside the door.
Jessie: Dais?
Daisy looks up, blood trickling from her lip.
Jessie: Oh… shit…
Daisy’s bottom lip starts quivering.
Daisy: I’m sorry, I was trying to be good. Vikki said sit here and I sat here…
Jessie moves in quickly and hugs her.
Jessie: Dais, it’s ok, you didn’t do anything wrong.
The taller woman clamps onto Jessie the way a small child would to her mother and starts bawling on Jessie’s shoulder.
Daisy: I’m sorry… I’m sorry!
Saraya: Where the man? Is he still in the bar?
Daisy looks up, her lip quivering and terror in her eyes.
Daisy: Raider…
Jessie glances over at the bar and nods.
Jessie: The guy in the Raider jacket.
Saraya: Do you wanna press charges?
Daisy’s eyes go wide and Jessie hugs her.
Jessie: That’s probably a bad idea…
Saraya: Why? Bastards like him need to pay for what they do… He won’t get away with this… Personally or professionally, I will deal to him…
Jessie nods.
Jessie: Dais, did you call Bubby?
Daisy shakes her head and Jessie exhales.
Jessie: Thank God…
Saraya: Bubby? Do I even wanna know?
Jessie nods.
Jessie: Her brother, Bubba.
Saraya: I see… Do you need medical attention Daisy? I could take you to ER if you like and get that lip seen to. No one needs to know what happened.
Secretly Saraya just wanted to get the girls to safety so she could make it back and make the guy pay. Either way he wasn’t getting away with this.
Daisy looks to Jessie and Jessie smiles to her.
Jessie: What do you want to do, Sweetie?
Daisy looks from Jessie to Saraya and then back to Jessie.
Daisy: You won’t be mad?
Jessie shakes her head gently.
Daisy: Will Vikki?
Jessie: You let me worry about Vik, Dais. What do you want to do.
Daisy nods, turning to look at Saraya, seemingly taking in the full vision of the young officer for the first time.
Daisy: You brought an Officer Friendly?
Saraya: She didn't have a choice, I kinda arrested her, but your safety was more important. No man should EVER lay his hands on a woman.
Daisy manages a smile and waves.
Daisy: Hi, Officer Friendly!
Saraya smiles.
Saraya: SO, do you want me to take you to get checked out or not? My boss is bound to notice I’m not patrolling soon and start asking questions.
Jessie: Did Vik say when she’d be back?
Daisy shakes her head.
Daisy: No.
Saraya: look, if you don’t wanna go to the hospital, do you at least have a first aid kit in your room or something? We need to clean her up at least.
Jessie shakes her head.
Jessie: It was in the car that got totaled a little over a week ago.
Saraya shakes her head.
Saraya: So robbing stores, crashing cars and getting punches my drunk assholes… anything you girls don’t do?
Daisy: I color!
Jessie can’t help but smile.
Jessie, Yes… yes, you do.
Jessie hugs Daisy and then kisses her lovingly.
Jessie: Come on, let’s go get you checked out and then if I have to go to jail, you can call my Daddy to come get me out, ok?
Daisy nods.
Daisy: Ok.
Saraya: Don’t worry, I’m not taking you in… this time. But you girls have gotta stop causing trouble, or I’ll have to, ok?
Jessie and Daisy both nod and all three walk off to have Daisy seen to.

Present day
We see Saraya in her present day sitting staring at a picture on the wall, its her graduating from Police academy. She looks at it then shakes her head.
“Not all dreams come true…”
She takes a deep breath then turns the camera.
“I’m here today to address my opponent for the week….”
She shakes her head.
“Could anyone be more Dense? Hope isn’t my name. My first name is Saraya you dickwad. My name is Saraya Jayde Hope. Hope is my surname. Perhaps that’s a concept lost on you? The fact that people can have names that aren't made up like Cenotaph? Hell at one point I was officially known as Lieutenant Hope. I was a working professional but judging by your skills of perception, you wouldn't even know what that means.”
She cocks her head a little, taking another deep breathe before she scowls.
“Also, did you seriously just call this company's past champions talentless? You’re calling the people who built this company from the ground up talentless. WIthout those people who bled for this company, this company wouldn’t exist, so be careful who you’re insulting there buddy. Someone may just come and add your blood to the blood of those supposedly talentless hacks spilt all over that ring apron.”
She looks at the camera in disbelief.
“And as for you thinking you deserve a title shot… What the hell have you done to deserve it? I know I’m new here, but I’m pretty sure you gotta win more that one match to work your way up the ladder to fighting the champ. not to mention that one match you’ve had was against someone who hasn't even been here 5 minutes himself. You, a nobody, beat a nobody… Hardly anything special. Hell should I start putting my arms in the air and crying, “Oh give me a title shot now, I deserve it, just by asking. Oh please Mr Oliver, give me a title shot now!!!” Your stupid if you think that's how it works. You need to earn your way and make an impact, Pretty sure you have done neither, so I don't see what your pissing and moaning about.”
Anger Floods her face.
“Men like you make me sick though, thinking you can just go around and insult women just cos in your twisted mind you think you’ve earnt the right to? You won one match dude… One match… not really something worth bragging about. I’ve arrested men scarier and better fighters that you are. See you there… Whatever you name is, I don't even think you deserve to be dignified with your name, cos you couldn't even give me the respect to get my name right… so why should I?”
