::The offices of U.W.A. President and C.E.O opened before the camera. Oliver was seated at his desk dressed in a beautiful black suit and seemed to be looking over paperwork. The husky form of Samuel was seated in a chair in the corner.::
Oliver: “Well, it looks like we did just well enough to get picked up full time.”
::The owner said as he tossed the paper he was looking over into the outbound pile and then glanced over at the large man sitting in the chair in the corner. The large man smiled happily and it was easy to see why no one disliked Samuel.::
Samuel: “Month by month our product gets better.”
Oliver: “As long as we can keep a sane World Champion I will be happy.”
Samuel: “They do tend to crack don't they?”
Oliver: “So, what is this meeting all about?”
::Samuel cleared his throat and leaned forward in his chair fixing his attention on the older man seated behind the desk in front of him.::
Samuel: “She should be here shortly. We were contacted by a Lawyer out of California named Veronica Bellami. She was the personal lawyer of David Matthews.”
::Oliver frowned and rubbed his hand down his chin in thought.::
Oliver: “Why does that name sound familiar?”
Samuel: “That friend of Brianna's Eric Donovan.....He was his brother.”
::Finally a moment of realization seemed to dawn on older man and he nodded solemnly.::
Oliver: “I was busy tracking down talent for UWA's debut, so I wasn't able to attend the funeral. Why is his lawyer contacting us? Have we used footage of him in one of our videos?”
Samuel: “No, it wasn't a lawsuit or anything like that. All she said is that she had a opportunity that she wanted to present to us.”
::Almost as if on que there came a knock on the door and Samuel rose from his chair and moved to open it. What came in the door was nothing like what they expected. Especially with the man she was connected to.
Veronica Bellami stood a demure five foot two with long strawberry blond hair that hung in ringlet curls down her shoulders and back. She wore a dress that could only be called southern. It looked like something would expect a southern bell to wear. It flared around her thighs and hung down to her ankles like a cascade. The dress came up into a bodice that was tied tightly and a half jacket covered the tops of her breasts that were exposed by the bodice.
You'd almost expect her to be carrying around a small umbrella.
The woman then extended a hand to Samuel who stared at her in awe as he took her hand and shook it weakly. The woman was breath takingly beautiful. Veronica giggled a moment as she withdrew her hand.::
Veronica: “Now, did no one tell you it's impolite to stare Mister Johnson?”
::Samuel was still dumbstruck so it was Oliver who laughed openly, happily as he stood from behind his desk and held his arms open for the young woman to sit.::
Oliver: “Forgive Samuel. He's not used to a woman of your elegence walking around our offices. It's usually women like The Kenyon Sisters, or Aerynn Donnelly or Danika Bayne. All beautiful, but hardly what one would call regal. Please sit.”
::Samuel blushed sheepishly as Veronica patted his cheek softly, fondly and then moved to the chair on the other side of the desk and pulled her dress around her before sitting down and folding her arms into her lap. Samuel took a chair near the desk, so they could all face one another and Oliver sat back down.::
Oliver: “So, what can we do for you Misses Bellami?”
Veronica: “Miss, and please call me Ronnie.”
Oliver: “Very well Ronnie. What can we do for you?”
Veronica: “Well that is a bit of a involved story. Do you two know who my client was?”
Samuel: “Yes, and you have our condolences Miss Ronnie.”
::Veronica smiled a sad little smile and nodded her thanks.::
Oliver: “If I may ask, how did you end up representing a man like him? He's not exactly.....”
Veronica: “In my social standing?”
::Veronica smiled a understanding smile as both Oliver and Samuel nodded.::
Veronica: “That is a long story, to put it short. It was while he was married.....”
Samuel: “Which time?”
::Veronica's eyes turned icy.::
Veronica: “He was only married once.”
Samuel: “But Miss Ronnie, his autobiography states.....”
Veronica: “He was only married once.”
::She never raised her voice, but the tone alone said she wouldn't discuss it further. Oliver shot Samuel a look and the portly man nodded softly and motioned her to continue.::
Veronica: “As i was saying, My friends and I were attending one of the shows put on by a company where he was employed. After the show some of the locals tried to get rowdy. He stepped in and stopped them. I was in his debut. When he found out I was a lawyer, he asked if he could put me on retainer.”
Oliver: “Sounds like he took care of you.”
Veronica: “Still does Mr. Georgio, through his brother Eric.”
Oliver: “So, why are you here today?”
Veronica: “Well.....a situation has come to light that his brother and I feel you may be able to help with, and all of us can benefit.”
Oliver: “What could we possibly do?”
Veronica: “We are looking for a company that is just getting it's legs under it.”
Samuel: “You wanting to do some kind of a tribute special?”
::Veronica laughed softly and waved her hand dismissively.::
Veronica: “If you knew him, you'd know how bad that would be. No, we have someone who needs a place to start. A place where they can learn.”
Oliver: “And what kind of rookie could possibly warrant attention from someone of your caliber Miss Ronnie?”
Veronica: “David's son.”
Samuel: “David's son would be.....like five.”
Veronica: “That isn't his son. DNA was tested and it turned out the kid was someone Else's.”
Oliver: “Your friend couldn't catch a break could he?”
Veronica: “Preaching to the choir there Mr. Geogrio, but anyway. This boy's mother contacted me a few weeks ago and the boy it appears has located Mr. Donovan on his own. Tests are being planned to verify.”
Oliver: “And what exactly can we do?”
Veronica: “According to his mother, he wants to see what his father's world was like.”
Oliver: “And we have a company that just the right size. I see.”
Veronica: “It's a win/win Oliver. He gets the experience he wants, we get to evaluate him and you get someone whose very bloodline is in this business.”
Oliver: “We will want to speak to him of course.”
Veronica: “Naturally and from what I understand Mr. Donovan wants to speak to you as well. Shall we call it an agreement in principle baring any complications?”
Oliver: “Yes, I suppose we can.”
::Veronica and Oliver both stood up and shook hands.::
Veronica: “I am sure Mr. Donovan will be in touch.”
::Oliver nodded and Veronica turned, flashed Samuel a quick smile and then walked from the room. Leaving Oliver alone to discuss this development with Samuel.::
