Kyle Travis kneels as he fills two gas cans at a gas station somewhere in Arkansas. He fills one, then the other.
“I have an issue with most modern horror movies.”
“The Canadian Legend” hangs the nozzle up.
“They all seem to revolve around poking evil with a stick and wondering what went wrong when evil gets poked.”
Travis kneels down and screws the caps on the gas cans.
“It can be unwrapping a book covered in barbed wire and reading from it, or taunting the demon haunting your girlfriend every chance you get, or whatever. Every movie, some idiot has to poke evil with a stick and then they wonder why it is all going wrong.”
Travis shakes his head as he gets up. He opens the trunk of his car and places the can in. From the trunk he draws the crowbar, the weapon he has used on so many people.
“Danika, I want you to be VERY aware that you have poked evil. Yes, I picked a fight with the Children of Nephilim, but for all your hype, for all the talk, you are not evil. You want to be, you pretend to be, but you are not. What you are is a group of pathetic, whimpering, simpering little nobodies who put their faith in a sniveling coward who hides behind a teddy bear. You are a joke. Time and time again, the Children of Nephilim have been given an opportunity to shine and each time they failed. Now you can blame McBride or whatever, but sooner or later, you are going to need to realize that your entire movement has been nothing more than a waste of time.”
Travis looks at the crowbar.
“That at least was my original goal. And then, your master went and walked on to my property. I had hoped when McBride was thrown out, that whole “lets abduct people” play, honestly, the only play in your playbook would have gone with him. But it seems you did not. Danika Bayne, Ramiel, Sariel, Ananiel, Miako, each of you must now die.”
Travis looks down at the gas cans. He picks them up and places them into the trunk.
“No matter where you run, I will find you. No matter how well protected you think you are, I will get you. No matter how much you beg for mercy, I will not stop until each of you stop moving.”
His voice is a cold anger. He is not yelling, just cold and angry. This is pure hate, pure rage.
“Lie to them Danika.”
“Tell Sariel, Ananiel and Ramiel that your master has this. Tell them that the promises he made to them will come true. Tell them that they will be safe when in reality there is nothing you or he can do to save them. Their lives, their careers were forfeited to me the second your master walked onto my property. I want you to lie to them, look them in the eyes and lie to them, because I want you to see the fear in their eyes because they know I will NEVER stop until I have taken every drop of blood from their worthless, miserable carcasses as long as they pledge themselves to your master.”
He starts to slowly twist the crowbar.
“Look Mikado in the eyes and tell her that her master will protect her. Look into the eyes of the one who has been loyal to you since day one and tell her she will be okay. Look into her eyes and see the fear in them because she knows that a year ago, I told McBride that if he or the Children EVER went near my family, my children, I would flay her alive with this crowbar and cram her skin down his throat. Now, because your he has caused her nothing bust suffering.”
“Lie to them Danika, hide that fear in your eyes knowing that, when Ananiel, Ramiel, Sariel, and Mikado are broken, beaten and bloodied, I will come for you. You will suffer, you will bleed and you will be broken. I will not stop. I will not let up. I will end you Danika Bayne. I will watch you burn and leave you for dead.”
“You have sentenced your children to die you sniveling pathetic coward. Hide behind your teddy bear all safe and sound as they suffer and bleed and die for you. Stay safe and sound I break them all because you dared to challenge a greater evil than you can ever hope to be.”
“You think you are evil? You think you are a monster? You are NOTHING compared to me. You and your Children are pathetic and weak and they will suffer and bleed in your name because you DARED to challenge an evil you cannot stand against. I was satisfied just humiliating you and your Children, now I am going to SLAUGHTER them.”
Travis tosses the crowbar into the trunk.
“My challenge still stands. Go after my family; take the last thing I have, the one thing, the only thing that has kept me human for the last several years. Look at EVERY single act of evil, EVERY single atrocity I have committed and know that I did all those things with a wife and child at home and ask yourself what I am capable of without that humanity.”
“You think you and the Children are monsters? You have no idea what that word means, but at Raising Hell, either you or Danika is going to find out.”
Travis turns and enters the car. The scene fades out as he drives off.
