A few days had passed by since the massive New Years Eve party at the pleasure Dome. Like usual, it was full on business as usual, as many customers would come in and out, paying for various services that the Silver Baron was more then happy to provide.
However, right now it was 2PM, on a Friday. The club had officially opened the doors for the day, but it was to be expected that hardly anyone would be coming in for anything. The Silver Baron was taking inventory. He would have done it sooner if all his girls hadn't been distracting him as they walked by in some of their outfits.
Male Voice: That chica that just passed by. Damn she's got a fine ass, eh señor Baron?
The Silver Baron was startled by the voice, but he did recognize it with was Gutierrez. He had successfully surprised the Silver Baron. Now while the Silver Baron had only met Gutierrez the one time, he was very happy to see him again.
Silver Baron: Gutierrez. Good to see you again.
Gutierrez: Ah. Well I was just around and figured I'd stop by. And it looks like I came at a decent time. What with no crowd around, just the display.
Silver Baron: Indeed. Please, sit down.
The Silver Baron pulled out a bar stool for Gutierrez to sit on. The Silver Baron then went to the other side of the bar, and kneeled down to check what was under the bar. He then got up, and took a quick look around, checking off a couple things.
Silver Baron: Sorry about that. Was just finishing up inventory.
Gutierrez: No worries my friend.
Silver Baron: Can I get you anything to drink?
Gutierrez: I'll take a Corona. How much will it be?
Silver Baron: On the house this time.
Gutierrez: You sure señor?
Silver Baron: I insist.
The Silver Baron went over to the nearest fridge and pulled out a couple of Coronas. One for him, and one for Gutierrez. He opened them both up, and gave one to Gutierrez, and they clinked the bottles.
Gutierrez: Sad to see what happened at Cataclysm. You should have won that match.
Silver Baron: I know. I was sort of upset about it. But I'm not going to let that consume me.
Gutierrez: Good. Getting yourself worked up over something minor like that, isn't good. Best to try to stay positive all the time.
Silver Baron: Speaking from experience?
Gutierrez: Eh...Somewhat.
Both men shared a quick laugh, as they drank some of their beers.
Silver Baron: But already, 2015 looks to be a much better year. I'm in a match, that while there really isn't anything personal, I'm going to fight my hardest.
Gutierrez: Should regardless. Don't get distracted, like you did.
Silver Baron: Going to be kinda hard, I'll admit.
Gutierrez: Why would that be?
Silver Baron: You...Don't know what my match on Mayhem will be?
Gutierrez: Sorry señor Baron, but I've been somewhat busy. Just so many things going on, but...I'm trying to get it all sorted.
Silver Baron: Makes sense. Anyways the match I'm in, I'm facing off against non other, then the UWA World Champion, Jeszika Gautier, in a title match. Come Mayhem, I have an opportunity, to become the king I know I deserve to be.
Gutierrez smiled at the Silver Baron's display of confidence, and even raised his bottle up a bit, before drinking some more.
Gutierrez: Best of luck.
Silver Baron: You doubt me?
Gutierrez: Well I saw what happened at Cataclysm. No offence, but you're easily distracted by a nice ass. Not that I can blame you, of course.
Silver Baron: Well, when you're a pimp like me, you're always looking at ass. But you agree, the bitch I smacked, she's got a fine booty.
Gutierrez: It depends. Some are better, some aren't. Personally, I like to see the whole package to see if all the proportions match. And for her, oh yeah, they do.
Silver Baron: Hell yeah.
Both men smirked, knowing that they agreed that the current UWA champion was very hot. However, the Silver Baron sighed. Gutierrez caught that.
Gutierrez: What's wrong?
Silver Baron: I don't know. Many things. While 2015 has alot of potential, there's just so many other things. A few of my friends got injured and have gone missing, and there is also the fact I'm still dealing with my own mind and such.
Gutierrez: Really? What's going on with that?
The Silver Baron sighed, and placed his hands on his face, before wiping them down. He knew now that he was about to tell Gutierrez about Oblivion.
Silver Baron: You may not believe it, but i suffer from MPD. Apparently it's a 'clan curse' on my mother's side. Not everyone gets it, but those that do...fuck it's not pretty. We can b the life of the party one moment, then killing everyone the next.
Gutierrez: Are you referring to Oblivion?
Silver Baron: Yeah.
Gutierrez: Well this is interesting. We've only met a couple times, and you're telling me something that's, kind of hard to believe. So what's to stop me from labeling you as loco?
Silver Baron: I dunno. You tell me.
Gutierrez smirked at that, and devoured the rest of his beer. The Silver Baron chuckled, seeing how fast the old man could drink. Suddenly, the engine of a motorcycle could be heard, and Gutierrez looked at the door.
Gutierrez: Local bikers?
Silver Baron: Maybe.
The heard the engine stop, and they both shrugged. They then heard the front door open up, and the Silver Baron suddenly had a very wide smile on his face, as he saw Randy Roberts walk in. Gutierrez though, had a very surprised, almost panicked look on his face.
Gutierrez: You know that guy?
Silver Baron: Hell yeah. That's the man who trained me to be a professional Wrestler. Indie legend, Randy Roberts. Also a big motorcycle enthusiast.
Gutierrez: Ah. Anyways I should get going.
Silver Baron: Really?
Gutierrez: Yeah. Mainly wanted to see how you were doing and such. But like I said, there's alot of crap to do.
Silver Baron: Tell me about it. Anyways I'll see you later.
Gutierrez smiled and nodded, just as he got up to leave. He would pass by Randy, who even took a quick glance at him, before he approached the Silver Baron.
Randy: Vega!
Silver Baron: Randy!
The two longtime friends embraced each other quickly, before Randy himself would sit down at the bar.
Randy: Who was that guy you were talking to? A customer?
Silver Baron: More of less.
Randy: Huh. Seemed very familiar to me.
Silver Baron: Really? Well, oddly enough, I kind of think so as well.
Randy: Let's hope it's not somebody who wants to fuck you up.
Silver Baron: No kidding. I got alot of that crap to deal with as it is.
Randy: Yeah.
Silver Baron: So what brings you here?
Randy: Can't a teacher visit one of his students when he feels like?
Both men shared a quick chuckle at that.
Silver Baron: No harm. Anyways, want something to drink?
Randy: No thanks. I'm going to be driving soon to Sturgis.
Silver Baron: Oh. So that's why you're here now.
Randy Essentially. Since I was sort of in the area, I'd figure I'd drop by, and personally congratulate you on getting a world title shot.
Silver Baron: Thanks Randy. I hope I can become the champ.
Randy: What are you talking about? Of course you will become the champ.
Silver Baron: Thanks. I needed that.
Randy: No problem.
The Silver Baron then hopped over the bar, careful not to hit anything or anyone. He pulled up a bar stool beside Randy, before he sighed.
Randy: Something on your mind?
Silver Baron: Sort of. 2014 started off fucken great but...Shit hit the fan and now this group I tried to put together, we're not fairing to well. What with three of our guys injured, and the other guy works better alone.
Randy: Ah. Yeah ? I can see why this would upset you. But really, is this any different from some of the other shit you've had to deal with?
Silver Baron: Huh?
Randy: Well you've seen friends of yours get taken out before. But you never moped about it. You would up retaliating, and defeating the ones who took out your friends.
Silver Baron: You're right that has happened. But that's not the only thing on my mind.
Randy: Oh really. Well clear it up, because you'll need a clear head for your match.
Silver Baron:Yeah. I'm also just so....Mad at what Lacey did to me.
Randy: Oh fuck. I knew this was likely it.
Silver Baron: So you heard.
Randy: I have. I don't like what she did to you either, but Lacey keeps insisting that it's for your own good.
Silver Baron: How the fuck is constantly having to listen to this voice in my head, constantly nagging me, telling me to do stuff I really don't want to do, a good thing?
Randy: I don't see it either, but I'm not in your shoes either.
Silver Baron: Yeah well, be glad for that.
Randy: True. Anything else?
Silver Baron: Yeah there is one thing. I may not have known him much but...Dammit I wish dad were here.
The Silver Baron gripped his beer, and then began to chug some of the contents down. There was still some left. Randy chuckled for a second, before looking at his former student in the eye.
Randy: Well if he was, I have no doubt, that he would be as proud of you, as I am.
The Silver Baron looked at Randy, and smiled. What Randy had just said meant alot to the Silver Baron, as he did often think of Randy as a father figure.
Silver Baron: Thank you Randy.
Randy: I mean it son. I more or less have watched you become the man you are today. You're one helluva fighter, and while you're a pimp you do treat women with respect...For the most part.
Silver Baron: Yup.
Randy: But can you do me a favor. I know you're mad at what Lacey did. Don't let that strain your friendship with her.
Silver Baron: We'll see. Best I just cool off on that subject for a while, and just keep clear of her. Otherwise, shit's gonna happen.
Randy: If you say so.
The Silver Baron nodded, before consuming the rest of his beer. It was then, that Randy got up.
Silver Baron: Leaving so soon?
Randy: Yeah. As I said, I'm gonna meet up with Lacey in Sturgis. Got to leave now, before she has to leave for Colorado, much like you will be soon enough.
Silver Baron: Good point.
Randy: Yeah. I will say this though. You remind me alot like how I used to be. Fuck, before I met Leon and Lacey's mom, I was quite the player. Did I ever tell you that?
Silver Baron: Not that I recall.
Randy: Well I was. Also that I was, and still am, passionate about what I do. So from mentor to student, friend to friend, old man to young man, I wish you the best of luck.
Silver Baron: Heh. Thanks.
The two men got up and shook each others hands. Randy then left the Pleasure Dome the Silver Baron picked up his inventory checklist, before he went up to his office.
When the Silver Baron got into his office, he put the checklist down, and quickly scanned over everything. He smiled, seeing that everything was in order. He put it away, before looking at the ceiling.
Silver Baron: Dad. If you're up there...I hope you are watching. I really do hope you're proud of me. I can't wait until Mayhem, because no matter how you look at it, fighting for the top title in any company, it's a big deal.
The Silver Baron smirked. He really couldn't wait until Mayhem rolled around. In fact, just thinking about it now got him excited, that he decided to voice some more thoughts before his match against Jeszika.
He got up, and began to hum the tune to 'Old Man Look At My Life' by Neil Young. As he did that, he got himself another beer, this time from his personal fridge, before going to get his camcorder. Once it was all set up, he opened his beer, and began to record.
Silver Baron: Hey everyone. I hope you're all enjoying this brand new year thus far. I also hope everyone keeps their resolutions, of watching more UWA, and making it a priority to come experience the Pleasure Dome at least once.
As a matter of fact, you all should know why it's essential to come and watch more UWA this year. Because come the very first Mayhem of the year, we're starting things off right. Plenty of solid matches to watch, to get an idea of what's to come. But on that very same night, you all know you'll be watching, what will be the most important match in my UWA career to date, as I take on Jeszika Gautier, for the UWA world title.
I know I'm excited, I know she's excited, so I hope everyone who's watching, is excited.
The Silver Baron smiled, as he began to drink some of his beer. He then began to think about the road to how he got to this point and his smile began to fade a bit, before he sighed.. But then, he looked at the camera, with a steeled look in his eyes.
Silver Baron: However, not all has been good, as you all know. The end for 2014 was especially embarrassing, as Craven and I lost to a two bit tag team. Now granted, I take my share of the blame, as I did get distracted, and the last brother of Bene Elohim in the match, took advantage.
But as I look back upon what was 2014, it was a pretty good year, but SCK...Man we've suffered some losses. Two of the best people I've known, got either injured, or have gone missing, and nobody knows why.
However, if anyone thinks that the state of SCK will be detrimental to my mindset, well you're fucken wrong. Yeah, I feel oblivion's voice in my head constantly scraping at the door, waiting to burst through, and take over again. But that's not going to fucken happen!
I've worked way to damn hard to let that part of me take over when I need my full focus on the task at hand. Though Oblivion is the one enemy I can't exactly get rid of, I know I can deal with him. I have for years, and i will continue to do so.
But there is another reason why I won't be hampered by what's happened to us. Simply put, this isn't the first time I've had to be in a situation like this. For that, allow me to explain a couple things that have happened in my life.
The Silver Baron looked down for a second, before drinking more of his beer. He got up, and took out a pack of cigarette. He then sat back down on the edge of his desk, taking a lighter he had on his desk, and lighting up his cigarette.
He knew that Randy had reminded him before that he's been in similar situations, where he had become the last man standing, so to speak.
Silver Baron: You know how in pretty much any school, there are the bullies, and the bullied. Sadly, when I was just a kid, I wasn't the biggest kid on the playground. There were alot of guys bigger then me,and my friends. And they bullied us because well, they could. Sad but true.
Now as boys, we did our best to not take the abuse. We would get into a couple scrapes, and for the most part, we didn't let ourselves be bullied to much. But as we all know, there comes a time when the bullies will take it to far.
I clearly remember what happened that day. Twelve years old. Me and my friend that were with me, got cornered. We fought, but the bullies separated us, and I got hit on the back of the head pretty hard. Not enough to knock me out mind you, but enough to put me on the ground for a minute.
As I shook the cobwebs out, I saw that my friends had been beat up bad. One was actually knocked out and I saw the three bullies just wailing upon the smallest of us. Punching him repeatedly, causing my friend to cough up blood. I saw that they wanted to kill him, and they even said that's what I had to look forward to next.
The Silver Baron began to shake a bit, as he recalled that particula event. He took a long drag of his cigarette, just to calm his nerves down a slight bit. It was enough, as he was able to tell the rest of the event.
Silver Baron: As cliche as the next part may sound, I snapped. I felt something inside of me just burn right through me. I got up, pulled the bully who did the punching, and I threw him into the wall. But it wasn't just a toss, no. I lifted him off the ground and he hit that wall with a sick thud. The other bullies tried to go after me, but I fought back. Yeah I used some dirty tactics, but that's what you do when you're fighting for not only your life, but a friend's as well, especially if one pulls a knife and tries to stab you. Key word being tried.
But the thing is, I won that day. I was beyond fucked up, and my friend that was punched in the gut, was hospitalized. So was one of the bullies, as he found the knife sliced his leg. But the important thing was, thanks to this fighting spirit that I have, we survived.
The Silver Baron took another drag of his cigarette, and smiled. He had made it through telling that story, and he could only hope that it enlighted people on the fact that inspite of being singled out, he fought harder.
Silver Baron: I have other stories similar to that when it comes to later in life, and hell, I even had ones that I was stabbed in the back with a proverbial knife. But if I went on to explain them, it would take to damn long. Point it, this is a situation I've been in before, so to speak. When the chips are down, and everything looks hopeless, I will fight back, and win. Son in a sense, that's kind of what Bene Elohim has to look forward to, should they press their luck against me. They better hope not, because if they do interfere in my biggest match, they won't have time to regret it, as they will likely have their necks snapped. Of course at that point, I'm liable to let Oblivion have his fun.
But you know something. It's funny. We've seen our champion's trials and tribulations in UWA in 2014, and needless to say, it does sound alot like what happened to me that one time. Essentially, she and her friends have been bullied around, only a much different outcome has happened. Yeah they won the fights, but the damage was not repairable. We've seen how Aerynn's gone mad, and Brody, a man she was once married to, she let get captured, right infront of her.
The Silver Baron took a swig of his beer, and another drag of his cigarette. The look on his face was a subtle mix of feeling sorry, and being amused at Jeszika's suffering.
Silver Baron: Don't get me started on Melissa either, as we know how shit got fucked up with her as well. But in the end, yeah you won the war, and even managed to win the title in a very personal fight. While we are opponents now come Mayhem Jeszika, I can say that you're a tough woman who's earned her way.
Yet I also sense that you're one bad day from becoming even crazier then Aerynn. Maybe not as bad as me, but close. One bad day, where you lose everything close to you. Where you lose Ashley and Bethany, possibly taken out by somebody. Same with Nikki. I see that you're at your wits end with alot of things, and that will be what destroys you.
The thing is, as fucken hot as you are, I really don't give a fuck if that happens or not. Hell I might be the next thing that is part of your destruction. Because Jeszika, you know that come Mayhem, while there is nothing really personal, this will be the hardest fight you'll ever be in.
While I may have told you all a story about a past event of my life, the Silver Baron just doesn't care about much else except his own friends, money, and success. Call me a selfish prick all you want, but that's part of who I am. All I care about right now, is the UWA world title. You say you want to be the champion that UWA can be proud of. You can try, but you can be damn certain, that after Mayhem, there will be a new UWA world champion.
But please, don't be to upset at me. We both know that the world title means you are the best, and I feel that should be me. The world playa is not one to let anyone stop him achieving his goals, and right now, I have the ultimate golden ticket towards my most important professional goal, and I'm not going to let it go to waste!
The Silver Baron now had a look of mad excitement on his face. He was beyond excited for his opportunity, and just by the look alone, anyone could see that. He took one last swig of his beer, putting the empty bottle down, before smoking the last of his cigarette, and butting it out.
Silver Baron: But instead of just talking about it, lets simply see who's the best. Two souls that have endured things that could break anyone else, are about to face off in an epic match, for the most important championship in our company. One shall stand, one shall fall. I plan to be the one who stands tall. But if I happen to fall at your feet Jeszika, you'll have my respect, but you can be certain I won't be staying down, nor letting anyone else get in my way of getting another shot.
When it's all said and done Jeszika, our match will be one to not forget. Either way, you're more then welcome to come and visit me here at the Pleasure Dome, because this pimp will always leave his customers and fans satisfied.
See you at Mayhem Jeszika. Let's rock the fans of UWA's world, like only we can.
However, right now it was 2PM, on a Friday. The club had officially opened the doors for the day, but it was to be expected that hardly anyone would be coming in for anything.
