“How ye gunna let that gash talk about ye like that son?”
The scene comes in to Pauly sitting in a chair. Across from him sits her father at his desk. His dad leans on the desks with his hands intertwined.
“Talk is cheap Da. Ye really think I’ma let that little twat get away with her words?”
“She had some harsh words about ye and Aerynn. Ye sure ye not letting her boss ye around? From the sound o things. This girl thinks she is speaking tha truth.”
“Da, Aerynn is not bossin’ anyone around. Not me, nor Shonn.”
The look on his dads face goes from serious to a wee bit shocked at the sound of Shonn’s name.
“When did that fool get released?”
“Few weeks ago. And dinna worry Da. Ain’t gunna go back to tha old days. No runnin’ ‘round gettin’ ourselves in legal trouble. None of us can afford it. We got Shonn in UWA with us tae try and avoid those situations. Legal fighting Da.”
“Thas whot ye said when ye first got to tha states. And whot did ye go and do? What got ye guys in so much trouble back in the homeland.”
“Nae. Neva got us in trouble with tha cops.”
“Didn’t say that son. Got ye in trouble with some bad people. People who dinna like losing their money.”
“Well ain’t our fault. They shoulda known not tae bet money they knew they would lose. Like they did it on purpose just tae starr more trouble. Tried tae get us banned from the fights. They were afraid we would reign supreme and be the big dogs. Not them anymore.”
The look of seriousness returns to his dads face as he now crosses his arms and leans back in the office chair.
“But ye could have went tae another area tae fight. One without those jerks. Ye knew who they were. Why go looking fer trouble?”
“We went where tha big money was. Dinna matta who we were up against. Ye know we not afraid tae throw down if need be.”
“I know son. I know ye good with yer hands. I knew all three of ye can fight. Damn good fer that matta too, but it’s quite hard tae dodge lead lad. Ye barely made it out of there last time. Why ye really think I sent ya to tae states here?”
Pauly looks a bit puzzled and confused.
“So ye really dinna trust me runnin’ things?”
“Not that son. I knew ye could handle business. Also wanted ye out of harms way there.”
“So ye send me here tae handle the gun business? Dinna make sense Da. Regardless, I’m not ginna get back inta that shite. Not afta Mr. Lamia got pinched then tried tae get me whacked.”
“I thought yer newly freed friend took care of that when he was on tha inside?”
“Aye he did, but Lamia’s guys are still looking fer blood. Looking fer who got him pinched. Looking fer who got him taken care of while he was in the big house. Gotta keep me distance from guns right now Da. Ye know that. Figured putting all my attention intarasslin’ would be a good thing, no?”
“Ye right son. It was a good choice.”
“I mean juss look. Since me focus has been on nothing but rasslin’ I done and got another shot at UWA gold.”
A comforting look now grows upon his fathers face. His as well. The tension has seemed to die down a bit as the conversation seems a bit more at ease.
“And I am proud of ye son. Ye know that. But just like our family business, ye always gotta be careful. Do yer research. KNow whot ye are goin’ up against. Don’t go in blind. Don’t just swing fer tha fences.”
“I know Da. If I were just swinging fer the fences, I wouldn’t have earned this chance now would I?”
“Aye, ye are right son. Glad ye be thinking ‘bout things more now.”
“Thanks Da.”
Both men stand up from their chairs.
“I got tae get going. Got some thing tae take care of.”
“Ok Pauly. Just be careful when yer match comes. I dinna want ye tae make any mistake. Ye bring that gold back with ye. Rip it off that lasses tits if ye have tae.”
“Will do Da.”
Pauly and his dad hug real quick. The scene fades out as his dad stands there and watches Pauly exit the room.

The sound of a metal bat dragging on the ground is heard as the camera comes into view. Pauly is seen walking through the halls of the arena and Mayhem is just days away. He is looking in and out of every corner and open door like he is looking for someone.
“Oh Lacey!?”
He continues to drag the bat as he rounds another corner.
“Where are ye, ye little so called devil’s sister?”
Another open door and nothing to be found. Pauly now brings the bat to his shoulder in one arm as he continues to pace the hallways.
“Ye wanted me attention? Well ye got it lass. Ye ever think the things ye spewing, that ye believe tae be facts, aren’t facts fer that matta? Like one of me closest friends in a downward spiral of hectic events? Ye ever think we doing what we doing on purpose? Ye ever think we not doing these things cuz of past events that happened to Aerynn, but tae show everyone in tha back that we aren’t a group tae be fucked with?”
As he walks down the halls one door happens to be shut. He slowly approaches it, gripping the bat a little tighter. He turns the knob and swings the door open, ready to swing away. Of course the room is empty.
“Have ye not noticed I was right by her side from day one? Not just since my recent return. Yeah we faced off fer the world title. That dinna mean nothing lass. After that match, we laughed and shared a nice big ol’ bottle o’ whiskey. So think before ye speak. I have been by her side since we were wee little ones.”
He now closes the door and continues to walk through out the arena. This time he drops the bat again and drags it once more.
“I dinna listen tae her beck and call. She is not tha shot caller ye say she is. Every move Gealtachta has made and will make is a group decision. Tha recent attacks on The Kenyon sister’s and their loved one’s. Everythin’ lass. Nae one o’ us is the sole leader of tha group. So again, get ye facts straight lass.”
Pauly now seems to be making his way towards the entrance ramp and the bat continues to be dragged, followed by a little evil chuckle.
“Maybe I have gone a wee bit insane. We all have. Guess why the name we chose fits so well right? Gealtachta….Insanity. So fitting. This so called dog on a chain? I see no chains lass. All I see is a man standing by his friend, doing whatever is needed tae make sure no real harm comes her way. Or Shonn’s fer that matter. We work as one. We win as one. And obviously we lose as one…..sometimes. Brody and his little gang got tha best of us at Catclysm. I’ll admit it. Just kno it dinna mean thas tha end of it. Know we will devise a plan. Work that plan. And we will get our revenge. I kinna gaurentee that lass.”
He reaches the backside of the entrance ramp. He pushes the curtain aside with one hand all while still dragging the bat in the other. He does not walk down the ramp. He stops. Stands at the top while looking all around the emptyness in front of him.
“Ye are right on one thing. I was pissed when I found out I would be fightin’ in a dark match. So I said fuck it. I ain’t gunna waste all me energy on a match that really dinna matta. Well it cost me. Ye little friend did take tha match and it is all me fault. I dinna waste my time cuz I was pissed and it came tae bite me right in the arse. That will neva happen again.”
Pauly slowly decends down the ramp, bat still in hand.
“Ye want everythin” lass? Ye want every trick I have tae throw at ye? Wish granted. Now tae go as far as saying I am stil ginna fall short and ye will show why ye are champion? Letting the recent success get tae ye head a little? Have men rub ye down. Smoking a celebratory joint. Saying tha match is already in tha bag? Yer Da was right. Ye dinna wanna be over confident. Anythin’ can happen Lacey. All can be going perfect fer ye and in a split second I kinna turn the tables and be the one takin’ charge of tha match. Or the otha way around fer that matter. Ye never really know who tha better one is. Ye can calim tae be. As of now ye have a title around ye waist. Er should I say tits?”
He makes it to the bottom of the ramp and stares at the ring as he continues to speak.
“While me on the other hand? None. So on paper and in most people eyes? Ye are the better superstar. I guess I kinna not blame ye fer thinkin’ ye gunna prove that 2012 is yer year. I kinna not blame ye fer having such big dreams of adding tha world title taw ye list of accomplishments. But who knows on that day. Come mayhem, ye might be off yer game. Ye may not know it. I just might be tha better one that night. I just might be the one who has that edge for tha little while we engage in one of three title matches that night. Ye neva know.”
Pauly slides the bat in the ring and leaps up on the apron. He pulls up one ropes and climbs in the ring. He then reaches down at picks the bat back up. He now holds it in both hands, but it still touches the ground.
“Ye got two evils clashing. Isn’t it usually good versus evil. The great battles anyways, but not this one. A battle that will long be remembered as two works of evl clash tagether. It will truly be hell on earth fer this match. Ye got tha self proclaimed devil’s little sister vs a man willing tae go to any lengths tae harm somebody. Weatha it be fer no reason or a reason like winning the television title. Either way. I am glad ye readytha tear the house down. Ye gunna get everything I got. I know ye gunna throw everythin’ ye got at me. I like it that way lass. I can tell ye do too.”
A smirk now grows on Pauly’s face. He raises his arms up, one hand still holding the bat, like he is telling Lacey “come at me bro.”
“This very ring is where two vicious superstars will clash. One aiming tae prove she deserves tae retain her newly won television title. The other tryna gain gold fer tha very frst time in UWA. A match thot will surely please tha fans watching. A match where nothin’ is gunna be held back. By either side. A match that will prove who really deserves tae hold that title.”
The arms come down but the smirks doesn’t it turns into a bit of a evil laugh.
“I know I want it just as bad as ye. And I dinna need Aeryyn tae tell me whot tae do. She, hell even Shonn fer that matta can stay backstage. I dinna need them tae be there. Ima prove tae ye. Ima prove tae tha wolrd and everyone watching. I can do this on me own. No one tae guide me or boss me around like ye say Lacey. Just me, The Irish Firecracker, Pauly O’Connor. Ye dinna know what ye done got yerself inta, but I promise ye will find out soon enough!”
Pauly exits the ring and begins to walk up the ramp, once again dragging the bat along the ground. The scene fades out as he makes his way back through the curtain.
“Oh Lacey!?”
He continues to drag the bat as he rounds another corner.
“Where are ye, ye little so called devil’s sister?”
