::The scene opened from that small hand held camera in that little hole in the wall motel room in Santa Barbara. The room was dark and the figure of Brody laid on the bed. The man was topless with his upper body and ribs tightly wrapped. His head tossed and turned, but it was obvious the man was fine. He had a guardian, as usual.

She was seated just inside sight of the camera. Her dark brown hair highlighted in pink hung down to her cheeks at the front and was pulled up into a high half bun and half pony tail. She wore a simple pair of jeans and a loose fitting top and was watching the man carefully.

A faint little purse to her lips, as truth be told she greatly disapproved of what happened at Fearless. He was falling further and further into this new persona and it scared her to be honest. When the faint beep of her phone broke the silence of the scene her hand came out and pressed the talk button.::

Jayni: “Yes?”

::The masculine voice of her brother Johnny answered.::

Johnny: “Can you talk?”

Jayni: “He's sedated. We have time.”

Johnny: “What about the dreams?”

Jayni: “I didn't have any other choice. Joshua.....messed him up bad.”

Johnny: “I saw. He gave as good as he got. Even in his condition.”

Jayni: “So....what's up?”

Johnny: “Did you all see the rest of the show?”

Jayni: “He was passed out with the company doctors....”

Johnny: “That a no?”

Jayni: “....I have. He hasn't.”

Johnny: “How long do you think you can keep it from him Jayni?”

Jayni: “.....He's already at war with Joshua....you know what it will do. He will want to go after Donnelly too!”

Johnny: “He can't be that stupid.....”

Jayni: “She tried to undo all the hard work he's been doing....and then she threatens to give them all to the Children. He's....going to want her blood.”

Johnny: “.....you should come home. This has nothing to do with you.”

Jayni: “You know I can't do that......”

Johnny: “Jayni, these people are crazy! This isn't some game. These people are gonna hurt you!”

Jayni: “.....Talk to you later Johnny....”

Johnny: “Damnit Jayni! You are my little sister and you will list....”

::Jayni simply reached out and gently slid the phone closed with a faint little sigh. She knew he was right. This wasn't what she signed up for. This personal war, now on two fronts, wasn't what she had agreed to, but none the less....he couldn't walk out of the man now. Not after all he had been through. All he had done....

and she knew what he was dreaming. The last time he had slept he dreamed of Aerynn dying at the hands of the Children as he and Arsenal were hunted by demonic children. This is the one she was introduced in. This is was the first one he ever had.::

::When Brody passed out from the wounds it had been nightfall. Dark as hell, and just as terrifying, but now the sun shined on a man's left hand. A hand curled around a blade which appeared to be seared into the skin. Across the leaves and grass slithered a small green and brown serpent slithering across the blade and toward the man's body.

As the snake slithered the dream flashed to show three sets of hands all surrounding what appeared to be a small music box and then a second flash to show Brody chained to a concrete slab, bleeding and barely breathing and finally flashed to the same snake slithering cross a table filled with food.

As the snake slithered down Brody's chest and across to the other side his head came up with warning and his eyes snapped open. Brody sat up quickly and scooted away from the snake suddenly terrified. His face was covered in the dried blood of the attack from the night before. It even seemed to be leaking out of his ear. Slowly he climbed to his feet and looked around confused, unsure of where he was and then began to walk.

The dream then flashed to show the other three members of Arsenal beaten to hall and all staggering along alone. Bethany alone and limping along a dirt road. Ashley, dragging a profusely bleeding leg behind her and Jeszika barely able to walk and finally flashing back to Brody as he exited the woods and onto a blacktop road.

A flash back to Bethany as she exited the densest part of the woods and found a single apple hanging from a tree. Bethany takes the apple, looks it over and then lifts it to her lips for a bite only for her eyes to widen in terror at the blood now covering her hand and the inside of the apple seemed to be flesh, bleeding flesh.

Bethany dropped to her knees and began to wretch as a flash showed Brody trying and failing to flag down ride. Back to Bethany who was throwing up what appeared to be blood....and the same green and brown snake which had slithered over Brody earlier came from inside the woman's mouth. Bethany leaned back on her knees and wiped her mouth on her blood covered shirt.

Around that same time a old truck pulled open and shoved the door open for Brody. Inside was the brown haired form of Jayni Sullivan. Brody gives one last look behind him for Arsenal but finds nothing but woods before climbing into the cab of the truck and closing the door.

There were no words heard as a bloody Brody and Jayni walk as she pulls away. A flash to show Jeszika staggering along under a bridge now. Her face and hair covered in blood and what appeared to be a deep puncture on her side. A flash back to Brody and Jayni talking as Jayni drives and then back to Jeszika as she reaches what looks like a sleeping homeless man with a opened can of pork and beans. Jeszika reaches over the old man starving after all of this but the old man grabs her wrist suddenly and sits up, wild crazy eyes flashing angrily and Jeszika breaks free and turns running along and using the wall for support.

A flash to show Brody staring out the window his face drawn and tired and then to Ashley as she limps along the side of a building and using the building for support. Ashley comes around the edge of the building which proves to be a house with white sheets hanging out to dry, but the woman hanging laundry takes one look at the bloody and angry looking woman and screams, running away.

Flashes to Jeszika staggering along that same canal when that same green and brown snake crosses her path. The platinum blond woman freezes in place, terrified as flashes of Brody inside the compound assault her and she climbs out of the canal and crawls up a grass hill away from the snake.

Ashley limps to the sheets and rips one down, making a makeshift bandage out of the sheet to cover the stab wound in her leg which was leaking blood profusely. The agony on her face clear as she wraps it tight. As she wraps it she looks down and finds that same snake slithering by and images of Brody's confinement but with her in his place flash across her eyes and she staggers away quickly.

A flash takes the dream to Bethany as she staggers through the parking lot of a park where she comes across a grandmother and her granddaughter, but looking a fright, covered in blood and angry the two turn and run back toward their car. Beth staggers after them, yelling for them to stop. The little girl climbs into the car first and across the seat to lock her door as the grandmother climbs in. As she closes her door Bethany screams “HELP!” and slams a bloody hand on the window only to have the woman roll her window down and spray Beth in the eyes with pepper spray. Bethany is shown rolling around from the added pain, to her already pain wracked body as the two drive away.

The dream then shows Bethany climbs back to her feet with difficulty and then shows her staggering down a road and then flashes to Ashley and Jeszika also limping down that same road at different parts and then finally to Brody and Jayni in the truck.

It's Jeszika they come cross first. Brody points frantically and Jeszika climbs into the bed of the truck. Brody reaches out the window, with the hand now seared to the strange blade and Jeszika grabs his arm for dear life. A flash later and Jeszika taps on the truck and Ashley is shown climbing into the back of the truck and leaning back on the wall of the cab. Another flash and Bethany is found. Ashley weakly helps pull her sister into the bed and the three women hug as Brody watches. Beth then gives the world the bird and leans back to relax.

Jayni looks back over at Brody as she pulls into what is labeled as “Bell view hospital” but the B is replaced with an H. As the truck pulls to a stop and she looks over at Brody her eyes as solid black. Brody slowly, very slowly looks over to see that green and brown snake slithering across the steering wheel.

Jayni then reaches out and hits the power button on the radio and what begins is the same Latin chanting that the kid was playing. Brody suddenly begins to scream in pain and pressed both hands against his face and screams in agony.

When his hands come down his eyes are that demonic black and he screams in rage and slams his fist, not holding the seared knife, into the window of the truck. Bethany screams for the girls to get out and together they jump out of the bed of the truck and run toward the entrance to the hospital. As they are running Brody jumps out of the cab and speed walks to follow, roaring like some kind of animal......::
