::What appeared to be a hand held video camera opened to a shot of a brown haired man in her mid twenties wearing a old t-shirt and jeans drinking coffee. He put a hand over his face and chuckled and then waved his hand at the camera.::
Michael: “Put the damn camera away.”
Jayni: “I just thought we should document this moment.”
Michael: “And what moment is that Jayni?”
Jayni: “He's awake.”
::Micheal’s head came up quickly and his eyes were wide. Their guest had slept for two straight days. More often then not, screaming in his sleep. Michael took a long drink of the still fairly warm coffee and then stood up and motioned with his head toward the spare bedroom door.
When they got to the door and gently pushed it open they found him inside. He was naked from the waist up. More slander then when he was wrestling, but more muscled. More sleek. His back bore scars now and he was pulling a tank top over his chest and looking down at the little laptop Jayni had loaned him.
On the screen was a frozen shot of Aerynn Donnely flying over a table at the hands of the Children of Nephilim. Brody seemed to be staring down at it until Jayni cleared her throat. At the sound of the woman clearing her throat Brody turned his face and looked back at her.
The beard was more neatly trimmed now. It was little more then stubble but he looked all and all healthy. Brody saw both Jayni and Michael and nodded gently in greeting.::
Brody: “......Thanks again.....”
Michael “it's fine mate. She has no idea who you are, but i'm a fan.....and I kinda wanted to ask.....”
Brody: “....Was it all part of the show?”
Michael: “....Yea.”
Brody: “Not what they did to me. Of course they say it was, and I am fine with that, makes it more personal.”
Michael: “So that video.....”
Brody: “.....all true.”
Jayni: “So now what?”
Brody: “Now I go on with my life.....”
::Brody sank down to the bed and looked up at the woman.::
Brody: “How does one go about doing that without money?”
Jayni: “One gets a job.”
Brody: “....A job? I have no job skills.”
::Michael's eyes were wide and he was smacking his hand off Jayni's shoulder over and over and pointing at Brody. Jayni slapped his hand away with a exasperated sigh and smacked him in the side.::
Jayni: “Use your words you big ox!”
Michael: “I watched him!”
Jayni: “We know that!”
Michael “He can sing!”
Jayni: “....You can sing?”
::Jayni asked Brody with a lifted brow and Brody nodded a bit sheepishly and then looked down and away from them.::
Brody: “....I used to. For her.”
Jayni: “That Jessica woman?”
Michael and Brody: “Jeszika.”
Jayni: “Yea, her.”
::The distaste in her voice was plan. She didn't like that woman at all.::
Jayni: “You can help us with the club. You get paid....you can start over.”
Michael: “What about them?”
::Michael pointed to the laptop and the still image of Aerynn.::
Michael: “They need you Brody.”
Brody: “.....I don't care. I...don't have anything left to give. If....i tried it would take everything I kept away from that bastard.....”
::It was about then that a phone rang. A spare given to him by Jayni and Jayni made a face. Brody had only given the number to three, maybe four people. Brody flipped the phone open and the speaker phone picked up.::
Brody: “......Hello?”
Male voice: “Hey little buddy.”
Brody: “......Padraic....is that you?.....Damn how are you man?”
Padraic: “I'm....not doing so good Brody.”
Brody: “....Okay. What's going on?”
Padraic: “....Look....um.....how quick can you get here?”
::Michael patted Jayni on the shoulder and nodded her out to he could have his talk in private and the camera suddenly....just shut off.::

::The old broken down and beat up Ford rolled down the darkened street in what could only be called the harder, meaner part of town until they came to a pair of shitty graffiti covered buildings on the corner with a alley between them. The truck slid to a stop and inside were the forms of Jayni Sullivan and Broderick Montgomery, or as he was called now, simply Brody.
Jayni was driving as usual with her short brown and purple haired tied back into a pair of pig tails and a leather jacket that looked much like Brody's own. The man sitting next to her however wore a simple pair of blue jeans and his own leather jacket but the hood was down. His eyes were on the alley on the ride of the buildings and his body tense.::
Jayni: “You sure this is smart?”
Brody: “.....Joshua made this happen.”
Jayni: “He's a damn junkie! It was bound to happen sooner or later.”
Brody: “We will never know that.”
Jayni: “Brody god dammit, you don't need to fix all their problems!”
::Brody grabbed the handle of the truck and Jayni grabbed him by the coat, her tiny hand tight on the leather and Brody looked back at her.::
Jayni: “I understand Carrie. I do. The way you feel, it needed to be done. But this?! This is dangerous Brody!”
Brody: “Someone has to do it.....”
Jayni: “And if you keep going until there is nothing left of you? Until it's all gone?”
Brody: “Then it's gone.”
::Brody shook his shoulder and pulled the jacket free and then turned and looked back again.::
Brody: “Turn your phone on and mute it.”
::Jayni nodded and flipped her phone open and muted it. It was clear the two phones were now connected as Brody slid from the truck. Jayni turned to look out the window at the alley with a tense look on her face and flipped the switch on the radio and the song immediately started. The music was a rap style beat but set to a stunning guitar as well. Every two seconds the rap style beat was met with bass like explosion.::
“I'm not the table you can come and lay your cup down on now.
I'm not the shoulder for a bag, don't want to carry your heavy load.
I'm not the road that you take, when your looking for a short cut.
I ain’t the stepping stone to be stepping on. I ain’t nobodies crutch.
I ain’t the money man, with your money man. You ain’t looking at me.
I'm not the cheap one, looking at me son, you ain’t looking at free.
I ain’t the dish rag, to come clean up all the shit you dish out.
Ain’t got no check for um, if you checking in, mother fuck check this out....”

::As the two verses played through Jayni watched as Brody walked into the alley and slid the hood up covering his face. Inside the alley were two men who were obviously slanging dope and the slumped form of Billy, Ashley Kenyon's Wayward boyfriend high out of his mind.::
Dealer #1: “Whatcha need?”
::The man's voice sounded from Jayni's phone as the music played and Jayni tensed. This was it.::
Brody: “Looking for something special.”
Dealer #2: “Whatcha need then? Talk or step punk.”
Brody: “...I want him.....”
::Brody pointed down at the drugged Billy as the second verse finished.::
“Aint much I can do, but I do what I can.
But i'm not a fool, there's no need to pretend.
Just because you got yourself in some shit.
Doesn't mean I have to come and deal with it.
You handle your own when you become a man
And become a man when you handle your own.
Aint much I can do but i'll do what I can.
But what can I do, if I do til it's gone.....
(Oh, Oh) Til it's gone.
(Oh, Oh) Til it's gone.
(Oh, Oh) Til it's gone.
(Oh) What can I do if I do til it's gone?”

::The two dealers laughed as Brody pointed down at Billy who looked at him with uncomprehending eyes.::
Dealer #1: “Get the fuck out of here punk.”
Brody: “And if I don't?”
Dealer #2: “Then we make you.”
::Jayni winced and watched Brody step over the out of it Billy and looked straight into the eyes of the dealer to his left and the two men looked at one another and then without warning one of them struck out and slammed a fist into the Brody's face. The hooded man staggered backwards and slammed into the wall.
The second dealer came forward and drove a hard right into the side of the hooded man's face once and then twice and then a third time dropping Brody to his knee. Brody coughed and then spit blood as the two men stood over him gloating.::
Dealer #1: “You ready to leave now bitch?”
::The man asked in a taunting tone.::
Brody: “Funny.....i was about to ask you the same question.....”
“I'm not the trash can, not the last man at the finish line now.
I'm not the new kid on the block that you can just follow and push around.
I'm not the fucking needle in the haystack that you finally found.
This ain’t no free rent, come on pitch a tent, you ain’t tying me down.
I'm not a bus ride you can hop inside and just roll away clean.
Not the wheel on the wagon you wanna break, cuz I hold up the weight for the team.
I'm not the gold watch or the new truck that your scheming to check out.
Unless you looking to check out....(Three gun shots sound.) What a mess now....come on.”

::As the second two verses play in the truck Jayni watches biting her lip as Brody reaches down and grabs one of the broken pieces of wood and stands up blasting the second dealer across the face as hard as he can. The wood breaks over the man's face as his friend tackles Brody back into the wall by tackling him around the stomach. Brody's back slams into the wall and Billy falls uncaring to his side.
The dealer drives three hard blows into his prey's kidneys and side and Brody's whole body convulsed from the force of the blows. After the third blow the man stood up and delivered a hard right hook to the side of the face and Brody collapsed to a knee.
Jayni sitting in the truck heard it all blow by blow as the song played gently around her.::
“Ain’t much I can do, but I do what I can.
But I’m not a fool, there's no need to pretend.

::As the chores played again Jayni watched the Dealer left standing pulled a blade from his pocket.::
Dealer #1: “You ready to die bitch?”
Brody: “....please?”
::This answer took the man by surprised, it even caused Jayni's breath to catch in her throat as she heard it through the phone. Jayni watched as Brody threw his elbow out and caught the man in the crotch and he dropped the knife immediately. From where she sat Jayni couldn't see the face of Brody as he slowly rose to his feet, the hood had fallen away.::
“I jump to the sky for my people. I walk through the fire. I give love when it's equal.
Don't tell me not to complain about my money and fame.
When you come around me telling me I changed, damn right I fucking changed.
When this fucking change in my pocket hit the bucket, it was a rocket all the sudden.....”
Don't tell me not to complain about my money and fame.
When you come around me telling me I changed, damn right I fucking changed.
When this fucking change in my pocket hit the bucket, it was a rocket all the sudden.....”
::The song's final verse played as Brody threw the first punch followed quickly by a second and a third until the man fell back against the building. As the words “damn right I fucking changed” was playing to Jayni she watched as Brody braced himself on the wall and begin to stomp the defenseless man's face and chest.
After he finished he looked down at the bloody forms of the two dealers who were groaning in pain and misery only for him to turn to Billy and lean to grabbing him by the hair and made him look at the blood splattered face of Broderick Montgomery.::
Brody: “....Do you know who I am?”
Billy: “.....Yea.....”
Brody: “DO YOU!”
Billy: “YES!”
Brody: “Your getting clean you hear me? I will do this to every dealer who comes within fifty feet of you.”
::Brody threw the man's head back where it knocked the wall gently and then rose and began to walk back toward the truck.::
“Aint much I can do, but I do what I can.

::It was as these final words played through her speakers that Jayni finally saw it. The words flowing all around her came without any kind of a beat, sung softly without music as Brody walked back toward her. His eyes were feral and dangerous and his face was splattered by a mixture of his own blood and the blood of the two dealers.
As the words “(Oh, Oh)Til it's gone” rang out Brody passed by the passenger side of the truck and as he passed he lifted the hood back up to shadow his face. It was then the woman realized this is a truly dangerous man. The creature that Joshua McBride had created was barely hiding under the surface now and she began to tremble in clear view of the tiny camera sitting on the seat behind her.
Jayni reached out and grabbed the camera, a little hand held thing and lifted it to show the form of Brody vanishing into the darkness behind the truck and then her voice rang out.::
Jayni: “I would usually go after him....but I don't think that's a good idea right now. Amy.....”
::Jayni said this as the faintest little whisper and looked into the camera, very reminiscent of the Blair witch project.::
Jayni: “You need to be careful. This isn't revenge to him. He's going it because he wants them to finish the job they started. I get it now. He wants the Children to finish what Joshua began and he's going to keep annoying them until he gets what he wants. Either them destroyed, or him.
And you don't want to get in the middle of that. All of yours stories....they do not compare to what happened to him. What these monsters did to him.....it wasn't.....it can't be compared....”
::the tiny brunette woman looked more then a little scared now as she spoke in the faintest little whisper.::
Jayni: “....I want to run. To leave.....but I cannot do that. I am the only tether he has left to the mortal coil. He is giving the others up one by one. Getting Melissa back for Jeszika. Billy for Ashley and trying to fix Carrie and Bethany.....not to mention what happened in Ireland.....”
::Quickly Jayni closed her mouth and her eyes got a bit more fearful. After a moment of silence she whispered.::
Jayni: “Brody had a whole big speech planned for you....but after this I don't think he cares anymore. But don't think he is overlooking you. He considers you to be a stepping stone. Something that brings him one step closer to his goal.
He isn't also digging just two graves. He is digging more then a dozen and he knows that his own is one of them I think. I think he knows that this will be the end of him, that's why he doesn't care what he does now. He's gonna give until it's all gone...He's going to use himself up....”
::Jayni took one final deep breath and then those beautiful eyes stared into the camera.::
Jayni: “Be careful Amy.....he's not who you think he is. Not anymore. I am not even sure he's human anymore. He's a wounded animal that's been cornered one to many times. Be careful you don't end up getting bit....trying to offer a helping hand.”
::Jayni turned the camera around one final time to watch as the form of Brody disappeared into the darkness as he kept walking and then she turned the engine over and pulled the truck from the curb and disappeared as the camera clicked off.::
